Full of flavor
Salted capers are much more flavorful than those packed in water but much harder to find. Amazon came through for me here. Once you try these in your salads, meat dishes, and vegetable dishes (try throwing some in your sauteed cauliflower along with a few raisins for an amazing agrodolce dish) and you won't go back to water packed. For those worried about them being salty, just rinse off or soak for a bit in water before adding to a recipe. Also, don't add salt or only add a little before adding the capers to the dish. Once added, adjust salt as needed.Mongetto Salinas coming from the best place in Sicily to get capers will always be in my cupboard.

Large capers with Great Flavor ! Highly Recommended!!
When these capers arrived I did not expect the size or the flavor of these capers to be so outstanding. Chopped up and added to a dish that is caper friendly will be the 'bomb'.I created a tuna salad with capers, boiled eggs, diced tomatoes, dill pickles, celery, green or spanish onions and ranch dressing. The capers made the dish. Start with a teaspoon of chopped capers and go from there.Enjoy !

Deliziosi capperi
Forget about using capers in vinegar. The salt preserved capers have a more intense and delicious flavor! They are VERY salty used straight out of the jar, so I usually soak them in warm water to release some of the salt. This jar will last a LONG time. I have been very happy with the quality of this brand and will definitely buy again.

Great Taste But Too Close Expiration Date
I ordered these salted capers because I couldn't find any locally for a specific recipe. The capers are large, well-salted, dry-packed, and moist inside. Even more so than brine or balsamic vinegar capers, these need to be well-rinsed and drained before use. While the product tastes great, the expiration date on the jar was only one month away from when I received them. For capers preserved in salt and in a jar, I would think they would last longer. As a result, I'm likely to have to throw away most of this expensive jar unless I can find more recipes that use salted capers.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

DO NOT BUY - Bad capers
Like the person below I also received capers that smelled musty and came unsealed, in spite of being taped. Several capers were sticking out from the lid. This is marked unreturnable and so I just flushed money down the drain in addition to not having the capers I wanted to use in my stuffed squash recipe.

Amazing product
I have tried numerous varieties of salted capers, but these by far are the best. In addition to the great flavor rendered by the salt, these capers are plump so you still get the feel and flavor of the fruit. Some may be put off by capers being salted, but I guarantee that after you try them, you'll never go back to the regular brined style. Try them in a putanesca, or my favorite, grilled shrimp with a puree of capers, garlic, olive oil and basil. Yum!

Very enjoyable
Purchased them because of the reviews here on Amazon. Am happy I did. They are very nice capers and not like that you buy in the grocery store. It is important that you rinse before using because not doing so is gonna give you a salt rush that will put you over the edge. I use in my chicken piccata and also salads. Enjoyable and worth the price.

Good product
I did not realize they would be so salty. Maybe this is necessary to preserve them. Anyway, I rinse in cold water and they're great.
