Eheim Jager Aquarium Thermostat Heater - 150W

Listen, the temperatures aren't exact. HOWEVER, I truly think this is still the best heater!!!! The #1 concern with aquarium heaters is shattering and this one DOES NOT SHATTER if you take care of it! I have bought 4 EHEIM Jager heaters and I have loved every one of them & recommended them to everyone I know!I use these for my red-eared sliders and one of my heaters has been in use for over 2 continuous years now with no dangerous issues. Granted the temperature is off, I'm sure there is a way to calibrate it but don't even worry about it, honestly. You should have another device double-checking your water temperature with every heater. Personally, I use one of those temperature guns after 3+ years of those stupid breakable in-tank thermometers. (They never last) But, all of my Jager heaters have lasted with no issues!!!!I know I said that they don't shatter, and mine haven't, but for an added safety precaution, I also buy protective covers for my Jager heaters. They are sold on Amazon too and I'm pretty sure they're around $10. Not only will it have added protection if the heater somehow shatters & it gives a little bit of heat protection for my turtles in case they hit their foot on the heater when it was running (it doesn't get that hot, but its more of a peace of mind thing). They come with little suction cups too and I think its worth it.As general safety tips, make sure you ALWAYS unplug your heater and let it rest a little while before removing to clean. Glass going from hot to cold really quickly could make it shatter!!! No matter how shatter-proof it is! I clean my heaters every time I clean my turtle tanks (2-4ish weeks). Especially with the protective cover I have on mine, dirt can accumulate, so make sure you're cleaning every surface of the heater on cleaning days. Be careful with the water temperature you use to clean it as hot to cold really quickly is again a recipe for shattering your heater!!In conclusion, I love my Jager heater but you should definitely not trust its exactly temperature measuring as it really isn't accurate. Use another thermometer's reading (or 2 thermometers) to adjust the temperature hotter or colder on your heater. Also look into getting a protective cover, more so if you have sensitive animals such as fish. I have been buying Jager heaters for about 3 years now and I will only buy Jager heaters!

Después de sufrir unos 3 o 4 termostatos descompuestos (marcas típicas de 200-300 pesos) en los últimos 10 años, me decidí por el Eheim. Estoy muy satisfecho, y fue excelente decisión. La calidad es evidente a primera vista. El calibre del cable, la longitud, la calidad y grueso del cristal, la precision de la temperatura... cada aspecto es superior al típico regulador/calentador. Cuando algo se descompone parecería que no hay problema, que solo es cosa de cambiarlo y ya. Pero cuando se queda pegado y la temperatura sube a 38.C y pierdes todos tus peces... entonces es cuando paga el comprar cosa de calidad. Excelente precio por este producto, que estuvo en descuento, por un corto periodo de tiempo, y desde que lo uso, ya no tengo problemas de temperatura en con el agua de mi acuario de 100 lts.

After trying a whole bunch of cheap knockoffs, I finally settled on this brand. I’ve had it for over a year and am 100% satisfied. If it would bust today, which is unlikely, I would probably buy it again because the cheap ones I’ve had emptied my wallet years ago.

Aunque la caja llegó muy maltratada, el producto llegó en excelentes condiciones. Tengo una pecera de 150 litros y lo calienta a la perfección, el termostato ayuda a qué no esté prendido todo el tiempo. Su aspecto es muy bueno, no se ve tosco.
