Love the coaching and family anecdotes - too 'self' centered for my liking
I came across this book via a training program at work so when you read the review please keep that in context and don't ask yourself 'why did you bother to read it?!' ... I read it because I'm interested in professional growth and there are multitude of insights to be gathered from those that have 'been there done that'.Maybe I'm just overconfident and a little old school but I found this book to be a bit too new age-y for me. I'm really not a 'believer' in the 'power of positive thinking' - I did find this book will certainly challenge me not to be aware of my own 'self talk' so much but more thoughtful of how the way I talk and the things I say might impact those around me and their own 'self esteem' or the way they see themselves - which again is a little too new age-y for me. Lord help us all if I'm someone's "Who-Said of the Greatest Magnitude" I do have children those poor darlings. In my world that portion can be summed up with the golden rule. Do unto others. I've heard that my whole life and still I say 'jerk' things - in honor of the time I've spent reading this I will resolve to work on that.I really like Mr. Tice sometimes in reading his thought process I would laugh out loud because I understood exactly where he was coming from. His anecdotes and the stories about Diane were very touching and profound.I think the book, like this review, could be done in half the pages as is the case with most of these types of 'self help' books - I just don't see myself as the center of the universe so I find these types of books very challenging to stay focused until the end.I could see where someone that might not have confidence in their own abilities or that is too critical of themselves might get a nice boost of confidence or at least learn to deal with their lack of confidence. My advice .... do the best you can learn all you can and accept not everyone is great at everything. There, that was free enjoy.Look at this - here I'm reviewing a book complaining about all the me me me and I made the review about me me me .... see what happens when you read about me me me? I'm going to go read Eric Carle to my kids there are hungry caterpillars everywhere

Self-Talk is your key to your future
I adore this book. I have been a student of Lou Tice for the last year, in that year i've been able to make substantial changes in my life. How? by changing the way I speak to myself. Tice takes you on a heart-warming and encouraging story about how he was able to overcome adversity and create the life that he wanted. Isn't that what we all want to be able to accomplish? He'll show you how to sort your values, be of more worth to yourself and others, help to to define your motivations and more. How often do you tell yourself you "Have to" do something, the next time you look at something that you don't want to do, listen to yourself. Tice tells you how to overcome and liberate yourself, and it begins with the thing you have absolute control over, 100% all the time, everyday all day. Your Self-Talk, begin your journey to health, wealth, happiness, joy, and exuberance with this Book, achieve your..Smart Talk

A very inspiring book
I was recommended this book by my real estate coach. It has taught me a lot. I do find that there are just some people that are incapable of embracing the positive and allowing the good to shine. Being someone who sees the potential In everyone, those people are the hardest and saddest to me. I had to learn to let go of these people and move on but it was very hard. But there are many who shine with good self talk. And this book was insightful as well as a reminder for me to make sure I'm staying on the right track.

Best book ever on Goal Setting.
********This is the best book on motivation I have read. I give it top reviews. I went to high school with a kid who took the seminar put on by the author. Later Dave Sabey became the wealthiest man in Seattle before Bill Gates came on the scene. His success, I am sure, was a result of what he learned in that seminar. These priciples of success are given in the book. The Silva Mind Control Method is a great book, but this one is more important. It tells clearly what is going on inside our heads and why the methods work. Read Smart Talk first, then The Silva Mind Method.

A Masterful, Liberating Work!
This book is a godsend! It proved to be one of my slower reads of recent because it is so violent. I had to read in waves because I would find truths about myself and I would break from reading to address the truths I found. Anyone intending to be their highest, most authentic, and most productive self owes it to themselves to purchase and read this incredibly liberating work.Lou Tice is a contemporary emancipator! Read his book, and embrace your freedom!

Take some time for you and enjoy the transformation
This book will give you a great insight onto how simple thoughts and spoken words are controlling your life in a way you may not be aware of.I would recommend this book to people that know they are better than they project themselves to be right now.

夢実現への自己啓発
著者の体験にもとづいて人生の考え方が書いてあって読みやすい絶望的な状況で 考えが順を追って書かれているが著者は前向きに事実をとらえて現実に対処している考えが興味深い

Everyone Should Read This
Written by the late co-founder of 'The Pacific Institute', this is an inspirational book for raising self-esteem and seeing oneself in a much more positive light. I have known about his work since 1999 and was delighted to find this on Kindle, as a paper copy is now VERY expensive.
