Q: Is it better to use core grain fed or complete health grain fed? core 34% protein complete health 26% protein?

My Vet told me never to feed more than 30% protein unless you have a working dog. High protein makes their kidneys work too hard and they may suffer from kidney problems when they are older. Case in point, my 16 year cocker has kidney problems which is why we have switched from core to this for the lower protein for my other dogs.

Q: Whet is the difference between “wellness complete health” and “wellness core”?

My understanding from the company is the core has very highly packed nutritional contents. I believe that because my Havanese immediately began to gain weight. As I understand it is for highly energetic and very active dogs which mine are not. I did not want to feed them less so I stayed with the complete health. I am extremely pleased. They get 1/4 cup 3 times a day. Wonderful food.

Q: What is the difference between large breed kibble and regular? My dog is 50 lbs.

There isn’t really a regular.. I have a 40-50 lb dog and I like to give her the large breed and I give the small breed to the shih tzu and the tea cup poodle... but the big girl will eat the small breed too .. I just feel she gets more from the large breed.. hope that helps!!
