Beautiful Bird Feeder! BEST SQUIRREL DETTERENT!
I love this! Just received it, filled it up and put it out for breakfast. I took a bird feeder down yesterday that the rascally squirrel dismantled. This is smaller than I thought it would be but, it is prettier than I thought it would be too. We will see how well this works keeping the squirrels out. They get fed too but the birds need their own space and food! Update 6/7/25 , months after purchase. This bird feeder is my number one for squirrel deterrent. Though I feed the squirrels peanuts and corn cobs, I try desperately to keep them away from the bird food. With all of my other feeders the squirrels have managed to lift the top of the house even though a button should be depressed to lift the lid up. This bird feeder is like fort knox. There is no way to open the top unless I apply moderate force to pop the clasp. So, because of the fence around it, the squirrels can't access the food where the birds do, and because of the clasped lid on top they can pop it open and empty the column. BEST SQUIIRREL DETERRENT for many reasons! Thank you! I can't find a larger one under your company page. I'd buy that one too!

great feeder
This feeder prevents large birds from emptying the seed from the tube, my little birds (chickadees, nuthatches, downy woodpeckers etc.} feed happily and the Jays, starlings etc. use the other feeder, not happily but they have food. When the large birds fly into it there is minimal spillage. Less waste, fewer 4 lagged varmints. Fewer refills. Life is good in the woods.

Good Enough with Some Hacks
After owning this feeder for 4 years, I am reasonably happy with it, overall. However, let me warn you about the problems. The squirrels never got the memo about being "squirrel proof". In fits of frustration squirrels chewed off the plastic sitting posts and initially pried open the loosely fitting latch on the top. For four years I've been using an additional little clip made out of a piece of coat hanger to double secure the top. Honestly, this has worked fine and now the feeder is "squirrel proof" -- absent several bird standing pegs. All-weather should mean all weather. recently I was cleaning out seed remnants from the bottom and noticed that the lower cap on the tube was rusting through. The platform is still there to keep the seed in, but just one more nuisance. All-in-all, it worked well after the additional homemade squirrel latch was added.

Cute but easy for squirrels to get food.
Wires are pretty thin, so we'll see how long it lasts. It is not squirrel proof - they just hang onto the wires upside down and stick their heads in through the squares of the wire and get to the food. If the squares of wire were smaller where the wires are not over the food access holes, that would make the feeder more robust - or maybe even better, a piece of metal where there are no food access holes, so that squirrels and large birds would have less space to hang onto. It is not very large - perhaps holds 3 or 4 cups of food. But would be great if it was harder for squirrels and large birds to hold onto.

NICE, ATTRACTIVE FEEDER!
I put this right outside a window and it’s actually a nice, cute feeder to look at. It’s sturdy and easy to fill with seed. Pretty happy with this purchase!

*UPDATED October 17 2020* FIVE Stars Achieved! Squirrels are kept out and...
*Update October 17 2020* I now feel I can recommend this feeder without hesitation. The titmice and chickadees are flocking to it, as well as all the finches and sparrows. Just be aware that it might take a little time for your birds to get the hang of using this. And squirrels are still excluded, although they do jump on it and try to get in. Previous *update July 2020* I now have a regular procession of small finch-y and sparrow-y birds using the feeder. The squirrels cannot open it AS LONG AS THE LID IS CLOSED WITH A SIMPLE TWIST TIE OR WIRE. So it's doing the job, although some birds seem unable or unwilling to use it, e.g; I don't see Downy woodpeckers, titmice, or nuthatches using it. Some birds land on it then seem confused by the outer cage and fly off. Overall, I can recommend this feeder now. First update April: After about a month of use, I have now seen more birds willing to use this feeder -goldfinches, housefinches, chickadees and chipping sparrows, at least. So this gives me hope that even more small birds will come. And so far, no squirrels have breached it that I can tell. Original review: Although it is keeping the squirrels away, the birds hate it. It is in a location where they previously fed very comfortably. After a week, I've seen only two house finches use it. I'll keep it up and see if they can figure it out. After 1.5 weeks, I've seen a few goldfinches and house finches. but only rarely. Most of the time, the feeder is empty while other feeders on my property have good activity. Still trying. Because it does keep the squirrels out!

Small squirrels still gets in the feeder.
Good concept but it do ant work. Smaller squirrels get into it and eat the bird food. That don't care.

Good but a bit small
Cute and functional. Keeps the squirrels away and the little sparrows enjoy it. It is a bit small - doesn't hold much bird feed but overall a good purchase.
