PURINA Pro PlanHigh Protein Dry Puppy Food, Chicken and Rice Formula - 6 lb. Bag

Not sure if received a bad batch, but we didn’t have any issues with the previous bag of this same puppy kibble prior to when we received our current bag last Jan. 30, 2022. Our puppy has been having loose, at times very watery, fouler & stronger smelling BM since we got this most recent shipment. She’s vomited early morning on 3 separate days since last week around 4am. We’re worried as another delivery of a bigger bag of this kibble is arriving tomorrow Jan. 6th.

After using one bag of this food purchased from Amazon without any problems, I ordered two additional bags. Within one day of using the second bag, my puppy became very lethargic, threw up three times and started having diarrhea. By the second day, I stopped using this food, purchased the same food from a local store and went to the vet. Puppy was acting very different from her usual happy, playful self. Vet visit cost over $90 and vet advised not using the food I had purchased from Amazon. When I purchased the food, I didn't bother to check the reviews, after all, this was Purina dog food, a reputable brand. It was only after this issue that when I read the reviews, I realized that this might not be the actual Purina product. Many other reviewers had issues with their purchases as well. I advise that you purchase from a store or website that caters to pets instead. Shame on Amazon for providing an inferior product, this coming from a frequent purchaser!! If I could rate with zero stars, I would.

DO NOT BUY...As soon as my puppy started eating this food she began vomiting and diarrhea. This is her normal food and had no problems until this bag...I went to reviews to see if any other pet owners had a problem and YES...if I had read FIRST I would not have purchased. I always read reviews but didn’t think dog food would be a problem...lesson learned! I stopped only after she had eaten a small amount and threw away. This could have been very serious! Amazon please remove this item...as these little fur babies are very special to us!

My Wonderful puppy was on the Purina one and was not eating it and then I found out for puppies exspssily this brand is much better and healthier for my laborer retriever puppy and my Vet Agreed with me because this helps with vision and brain growth and bones and has proboscis to she LOVES THIS ONE TO WE GET THE CHICKEN AND RICE ALSO CAN USE THE CANS WET SAME BRAND IN BEEF JUST ONE TEASPOON BUT IN SEPARATE BOWL AND HOT WATER JUST A LITTLE BIT AND MAKE A GRAVY POUR OVER THE DRY FOOD MIX TOGETHER AND WOW SHE LOVES IT SO MUCH PLUS THIS DRY BRAND IS SMALL WHICH IS GREAT FOR MY PUPPY SHE'S 8 MONTHS OLD RIGHT NOW AND 36 POUNDS AND WILL KEEP USING THIS UNTIL SHE'S A YEAR OLD THEN GO TO THE ADULT ONE .THANK YOUMELISSA

This is the only dog food my dog will eat...and he loves to eat! I rescued him at about 4 months old and the foster family recommend this food. As he grew, I tried switching to adult dog food and he just couldn't be bothered. He was born with a cleft lip and an overbite and chewing can be a little challenging for him. I think he likes this brand because the morsels are small enough to gobble up while still not being so soft that he doesn't have to chew. I gave flavor 5 stars because he seriously won't eat anything else but, I've never obviously never tasted it :)
