Big Reel for Lots of Line!!
Bought 2 of these reels to make a 300 copper, and a 10 color lead core for salmon fishing on Lake Michigan. The reels are well-built and big to handle lots of line. Big handles for reeling and an acceptable drag. I will be buying more reels in the future. I hope the prices come down on these soon!!

Great Lakes Copper Reel.
Bought this real to use for a 300 foot copper for salmon and trout fishing in Lake Ontario. It hold a good amount of PowerPro Backing and still allows for a full 300 feet of copper line. The reel is smooth and reeling in but does have a lower gear ration which makes bringing the line in a couple of days more work than most people would like. The drag is a little hit and miss and finicky to get the right setting. Most likely I will send it to Tuna Toms to switch out the drag washers which will solve that issue. The handle has a large grip which I like. The reel seems fairly well built and is a great option for this type of setup.

Great reel for fishing copper or leadcore line
Convector reels are a great choice for the above average fisherman. Built well and provides the durability to reel in 20+ pound kings on lake michigan. The drag adjusts well and the convector 55 is an excellent choice for running copped line or leadcore. I have 6 of these reels and they flat out get the job done.
