This story left me content and satisfied as the beauty of love is portrayed in the best way possible. Katy and Richard are just the best couple out there due to the way they mold for each other. Every emotion is depicted in such depth that this story leaves you satiated. I loved every bit of their arguments, realizations and passion. This story was unique in its own way.

I love Melanie Moreland's work and this book was no exception. I'm a big fan of the marriage of convenience trope and everything was just like I expected it to be. Richard was such an asole in the beginning but as he got to know Katy better, I eventually started to see his softer side that he had kept hidden. Katy at first seemed to be meek, soft and demure but when her past was revealed, I felt equally guilty as Richard to assume all the things about her.Overall, Richard & Katie surprised me, I wasn't expecting to like them so much but their soft, romantic moments won me over. NGL, I thought that the story was somewhat cliche though and it seemed to be streched a lot especially at the end but nevertheless I am excited to read the next one to see Richard adjusting into a new role because of the new arrival in their life!

Well, what can I say! I've come across many books with the concept of "Contract marriage" and all. But this one is a remarkable one.I must admit.The emotions, and the narration part. Also, the story.Everything is perfect! Actually, more than just perfect.....Have become a fan of the Author.Can't wait to read her other books.

I loved the way the characters are naratted. I always felt watching a movie gave a clear picture but never stopped read.But with this story I could visualise the charaters their emotions and as the story unfolds its lovely. Very rarely some stories touch our heart strings and this is one among them for me.

I can’t even right now. Richard and Katy’s story has wrecked me. Emotionally, I’m all over the place. I felt everything from anger to despair to sadness to joy to happiness and to rightness. This book is everything a truly touching and beautiful romance read should be. I’m overwhelmed by the power Melanie Moreland wields with her words. As always, she delivers book magic and for that I thank her. TBR The Contract and keep the tissues handy.

Livre très bien écrit avec un personnage masculin central plus détaillé que le personnage féminin. Ca apporte du changement comparé aux autres livres de ce type. C'est une lecture très sucrée.Le livre est sur 1 thème classique du genre, mais le fait d'avoir principalement le personnage masculin au premier plan vient contre balancer cet effet. Il y a des répétitions sur les sentiments des personnages qui alourdissent sur quelques passages la lecture.Sinon c'est un bon moment de lecture.

I am so glad that I got a hint about this book because it is exactly this kind of books I love!Richard VanRyan, ein nur an seine Karriere denkender Tyran, der den festgeglaubten Jobaufstieg nicht bekommt,will um seinem Chef eins auszuwischen in die Konkurrenzfirma wechseln. Dazu benötigt er aber ein intaktes glückliches Familienleben oder zumindestens eine liebende Frau. Dies ist ein großes Problem, da Richards Beziehungen immer nur ein paar Stunden dauern und er keine potentielle Anwärterin für diese Lebenslage kennt. Sein Anwalt und bester Freund rät ihn seine Sekretärin, die ja wenn er die Firma verlässt, sowieso keinen Job mehr hat, zu engagieren. Skeptisch weil Richard ausßer sich selbst niemanden gut findet, probiert er Kathrine ein Angebot mit einen einjährigen Vertrag, wo sie seine Verlobte spielen soll, zu machen. Zuerst ist sie schockiert und will es mit diesem egoistischen Scheusal gar nicht in Betracht ziehen, doch dann braucht sie schnell viel Geld und geht auf das Angebot ein. Sie zieht dazu auch zu ihm und aus vielen Sticheleien und Boshaftigkeiten entwickelt sich doch mehr.Ein wunderschönes Buch, wenn man diese Art der Geschichten so mag wie ich :) :) :)
