This book gives very wide range of relevant topics. The genetic reality that saffron can only be cloned was a mind blowing revelation (who knew) that the author weaves into the history of this spice. I also am impressed with the details the author outlines on just starting a business- this book is useful for any startup business.

Was a gift

Don’t buy this it doesn’t show you anything on how to grow or process it. Doesn’t tell you how to sell at all. This book is useless if you plan on growing it.

On the down side: The author often takes flight into hyperbole, and at times seems to contradict himself. Don't stress. Keep reading. Things become clear in context, and there are some gems of information in there I have not seen anywhere else.On the upside: If you've thought about growing saffron, there isn't a lot of easily accessible source material to start with, and the author does pull information from a number of sources.Would I buy this book again? Yes.Have I ordered saffron corms to do a trial run? Yes

It told what cultivars to purchase. I don't have them yet, but will try it.

About 1/4 of the book covers an overview of basic business planning. I would like more content regarding saffron…for instance, do we need to have it tested for purity? How to grow in a greenhouse? Troubleshooting common problems that might arise during the growing process. Would like more depth for a future book.
