Signature Tumbler Plastic Glass Unbreakable Double-Wall Insulated Coffee Mug Single 12 Oz Clear

Was looking to buy the old reliable insulated, plastic or melamine 10 oz coffee mug to replace ones that water had gotten into over the years. Not sold new anymore, the only coffee mugs with handles I could find were used ones on Ebay (probably not dishwasher-safe). Most retailers sell "travel mugs" these days, but they are tall and not convenient for home use.I read about these Bodum mugs on the internet and decided to give them a try. Sometimes the most expensive item IS the best. That is the case here. These glass mugs keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold much longer than conventional mugs or glasses. They work so well, I plan to give pairs of these as Christmas gifts this year to all my friends that enjoy coffee. First there was the Keurig, brewer, now there is the Bodum mug to go with it. These mugs can sell for as much as $35.00 apiece (plus shipping) on other sites, so I recommend buying them here on Amazon and look for free shipping.

I don't think the quality of these cups is very good. You can see the seems in the cups and one of them came in cracked and they were not packed well at all, just wrapped in plastic together. I also bought a 4 set of double walled cups that are superior in construction to these. They are all made in the US and are BPA free. I bought these mugs for several reasons. I drink a lot of hot tea and I like to look at the color of the brewed tea as I drink it. I wanted a cup which would keep my tea warm for a sufficient time and not be hot to the touch. I like the 12 ounce size. I wanted an unbreakable mug. These mugs fit all of the above criteria--they are great buys--and I looked at a lot of different mugs.

Purchased two of these about a year ago, and over time both developed leaks between the inner and outer shell, allowing water from dishwasher to get in between the two. The two shells are probably sealed by spin-welding, and I guess they are not very good at doing that. Two weeks ago I emailed the Amazon seller requesting replacement under their Lifetime Warranty, but to date no reply.

I'm going to keep them, only because my young adult kids are always making coffee cups disappear and I won't be heartbroken if these are lost. They are plastic with visible seams showing on the outside. I bought them after reading a lot of positive reviews, but unfortunately these did not impress me one bit. I also thought the set was overpriced for inferior quality. Maybe I expected too much based on the price, but live and learn.

Well insulated but the mouth is very large allowing heat to escape.I like them but wish the design was taller and more narrow at the mouth to keep the heat in.A tervis tumbler with a lid keeps coffee hotter.

These mugs do not keep coffee hot. I use them for cold beverages at home. They are made out of plastic.I changed my review to 3 stars for that reason.

I HAVE PURCHASED CLEAR PLASTIC 9OZ. INSULATED CUPS BEFORE, WHICH HAVE LASTED A NUMBER YEARS, HOWEVER EVENTUALLY THE INSULATION GIVES WAY TO CRACKS, AND THEY BECOME DISCOLORED....I GOT THESE AS A REPLACEMENT, AND HOPE THEY LAST AS LONG AS THE FORMER ONES.....THEY HAVE INCREASED IN PRICE A GOOD DEAL SINCE MY OLDER PURCHASE.
