By “no slip” does it mean that the band doesn’t slip off your head or it doesn’t let the wig slip?

It means both. It holds onto your head and hold the wig in place. I cannot tell how well it works with the stocking cap because I dont use them. It also works well with head wraps and keeps them from slipping. Hope this helps
