I liked the fact it has a little drawer to catch the shavings, but it is so loose that it slides out while trying to use the tool. The tool itself is horrible, unless you like huge chunks of soap being removed from your edges. The grooves aren't deep enough so there is no consistency from one edge of the bar of soap to another. I ruined an entire loaf just trying to get one good looking bar! I did better with a $1 potato peeler. Since its wood, soap builds up in the grooves and the blade so you have to take something after each bar to clean out the shavings left stuck. Oh, and the blade, not something you can just run to the hardware store to find a replacement. Not worth the money and I'm glad I'm still in the return window because its going back.
