Empowering!
This is such an empowering book! Louise Green is my new fitspiration and her book does not disappoint. I found myself highlighting so many passages on my kindle because her words resonated with me so much, and what I found particularly heartening was seeing that many other readers had done the same thing. I finished her book, have started reading it again and have started reformer pilates. I don't know that I'll ever end up running the way she has, but I'm finding a fitness level and lifestyle that works for me and ultimately that's all that matters. Thank you, Louise, for giving me my moment of clarity.

I have worked so hard on my confidence and self love, but when it came to any type of ...
Finally! Louise Green has put all my emotions, wishes, wants, and fears into words. For the longest time I've wanted to get fit and healthy but the world thinks my main focus should be weight lost. I wanted to be active and participate in a more sporty lifestyle, but my fears of being the biggest and slowest have held me back. I have worked so hard on my confidence and self love, but when it came to any type of physical activity all of my negative emotions would completely take over. This book came just at the right time in my life. It's proving to me that I can work on my physical health while still loving my body. That I can be active and participate without fear of being judged for my size. That my focus can be gaining, confidence, gaining muscle, and gaining a new healthy lifestyle rather than losing weight. And most importantly it has taught me not to wait, to do the things I want to do in the body I have now. Thank you!

Inspiring and a voice for a forgotten demographic
This book is an inspirational well written read. Louise Green shows through her own experiences and those of others that the road to overall health begins with where you are now and loving the whole person, not just a number on a scale or another persons idea of what one should look like or weigh. As more women are considered "plus-sized" these days, we need to find ways to love who we are now. We need role models who inspire us to get healthy in the body we have. Thank you, Louise, for speaking up for so many of us who have forgotten to love ourselves just as we are and for giving us the courage to take charge of our lives NOW and not later.

This book should be on your bookcase!
I love this book. Originally borrowed it from my library but I had to have it for myself, to reread. I have always struggled with my weight & been bigger than all my friends. And also, so much stronger! People see a thin friend & thick friend at the gym. They assume thin friend is the "in-shape" one. Then the thick friend rocks out a max rep 225lb squat, twice! That was me, all the time. And I felt isolated. Not anymore! This book helped tons! Thanks!!!

I really, really, REALLY wanted to like this but it is very dry and kind of hard to read. I found that it stopped being inspirational and started feeling like an instruction manual. This is not a statement towards Louise, I've heard some of her interviews and she's pretty great. This is on her editor.

I am a fan of this book
i was so happy to see this book in the library. I purchased a kindle version. It's hard going to the gym when you are overweight and out of shape. This is my comfort book to read to get me out of the house and into the gym.

Inspiration
Well written book; made me realize that I should be happy in my own skin and throw away the scale because the number is not who I am.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK! Louise is giving us Big Fit Girls a MUCH needed voice!
I LOVE this book! As a plus size woman who has gone from weighing 344 pounds to running a half marathon (and several runs at other distances) and becoming a personal trainer, I LOVE that Louise is giving us Big Fit Girls a voice! We ARE out here AND we are doing things MANY people can't even imagine we are capable of! WE ARE DOING THEM THOUGH!

Life changing
This book is just brilliant. Whilst I was a big girl who wanted to exercise I was doing it to lose weight/change shape and I would get disappointed and give up. I set myself unrealistic targets with workouts that pushed me too far. Since reading this book I exercise for the fun of exercising, I don't have any objection other than to move and get a sweat on (sometimes just to move). I exercise far more regularly now and enjoy the stuff I do rather than enduring classes etc because they were good for me.Completely changed me for the better

For anyone wanting to train but is scared they don't fit in
Ever felt like getting fit but felt like you didn't fit in? Wanted to get fit but not lose weight as a primary focus? This book is for you. I've always been a big girl, now whilst I'm successfully losing weight so I'm not the target audience I wanted to read the book for a bit of body positism in the gym.By the end of it I was doing the fitness equivalent of burning my bra. It's ok to want to exercise and lose weight, it's more than ok to be accepted.I recommend this book to anyone

Really inspiring
I really appreciate the idea of fitness for health rather than to be a certain dress size or body shape. There is a lot of great information and links to other references to get you started (or motivated to pick up again) your fitness journey.
