Perfect for Sewing and Stitching – Sturdy, Reliable, and Versatile!
I recently purchased this speaker grade carpeting for a project, and I’m really impressed with how well it holds up, especially when it comes to stitching and sewing. The material is strong and durable, making it ideal for custom upholstery, car audio projects, or any application that requires a sturdy yet flexible fabric. It’s thick enough to provide excellent durability, but still manageable enough to work with, even for more intricate tasks. What really stands out is how well the carpeting handles stitching. It doesn’t fray easily, which makes it easy to sew and create clean, professional seams. Whether you're using it for custom speaker boxes, vehicle interiors, or other DIY projects, this material is fantastic for ensuring your work looks neat and stays intact for years to come. I’ve used it in multiple projects now, and it consistently delivers great results. The texture of the carpet is another benefit. It has a nice, grippy surface that makes it ideal for creating non-slip applications, which is perfect if you need to keep things in place during a project. Additionally, it holds color well and doesn’t fade quickly, which is great if you want your project to look fresh for a long time. While it’s sturdy, it’s still soft enough to handle easily without feeling too stiff or difficult to work with. Whether you’re using it for a professional or DIY project, it cuts and molds well to different shapes and sizes. I’ve found it to be a very versatile material that works in a variety of applications beyond just speaker enclosures. If you're looking for high-quality carpeting that can stand up to stitching and other crafting or upholstery projects, I highly recommend this product. It’s durable, versatile, and delivers excellent performance no matter the application.

Don’t waste your time, this isn’t actually automotive carpet.
This is not automotive carpet. It’s your everyday normal felt that you can buy in any fabric store around the states. I was specifically ordering automotive carpet online because it’s not easy to find locally but I get this garbage..

Solo es fieltro
Tal cual es fieltro, hay que tener cuidado con las descripciones porque no es una alfombra.

It's Jute my friend. It's Jute.
It's jute padding. It can be used for multiple different things but the main thing it's for in my opinion is to go in between the metal frame of the interior of your car and the carpet in the interior of your car. If you're carpet and jute padding remain damp for more than 48 hours, IT HAS grown mold. At that point this is exactly what the jute padding is for. It's a replacement for the old ratty jute padding that's not worth mould treating and putting back in. Get some trim removal tools for your vehicle, Take the carpeting out and do a mold treatment and extractor vacuum treatment on that. Let the carpet dry in the sun on a nice day. Rip out the jute padding from your car to expose the metal and place the old soaked jute padding on a large light coloured tarp that you can use a industrial Sharpie to outline on. At that point just chuck out the old jute padding because it's now good for nothing like the Satanic Bible. Properly clean off the traced tarp with dish soap and water so you don't contaminate the new jute padding. Dry it off and place the new, uncut jute padding on top and cut out where you need to so it properly fits back into your vehicle according to the previous dimensions. Mold treat every bit of metal in your car that the jute padding touched and make sure it dries properly. Install the new jute padding and put back in your mould treated & dried carpeting. Don't take the risk of driving around in a vehicle that has mold it. You're shortening your life and there's already so many things that you and I both do which shorten our lives. That's what this is for my friend. It's jute padding.

Looks Good. Durability??
The material is not carpet. Not automotive carpet — not even close. Holding it up to the light, you can see through it. In other words, it’s thin. Much thinner than I expected. It arrived folded up in a flat envelope. For the price, it may work. I’m giving it three stars initially for its looks (great), and the ease of covering two pieces of 3/4” plywood for the floor of the cargo area in my Jeep. I wanted a flat area to carry my camping gear. I don’t know how well it will stand up to having my gear back there. I’ll have to review my review after I’ve done a few shakedown trips.
