Great for snow sports, less so for summer sports, but they delivered what they promised!
Bought these for my wild-child snow-biking/snowmobiling boyfriend who is 40. While adventuring with his winter sport hobbies, he's had a really hard time keeping his feet dry. His feet tend to sweat which compounds the problem. These socks really helped! Normally, he won't wear anything but cotton, but says that these are the most comfy and best socks he's ever owned. They allow his feet to breathe (and let sweat dry) but do not let exterior water get inside, keeping his feet toasty and dry. Really impressed with how well these performed in the winter. An important note: if you wear these for summer sports like hiking/running, I would strongly recommend NOT walking through streams or creeks deeper than these socks are high. Once you do get water inside, they are a b**ch to dry out. Hand-washing is challenging just because you have to wring the heck out of these socks and then let them drip dry for a long time (I.E., days.) Bonus: you could use these socks as a water receptacle if you're ever lost in the woods for days on end- they hold water *that* well. This also means that they keep water OUT *that* well. Overall, an awesome sock that delivers what was promised. Just keep water on the outside, and you will be dryyyyyyyyyyyy.

Here’s what these are really for!
Waterproof socks have been around for a long time. But ever since I’ve seen them for sale I haven’t seen anybody marketing them based on practical uses for them, which I think hurts the manufacturers. There may be somebody doing that, but I haven’t seen it myself. There’s just a photo of a leg in a sock in the water, and they say it’s waterproof. Am I supposed to then walk around wearing only these socks? I don’t think so! But here’s what I find it invaluable for, and I’m sure there are other similar uses for it. I work for a furniture moving company. When it rains we still move furniture. It doesn’t matter to us. When my feet stay in wet shoes all day they get an itchy peely rash that lasts days. Well what if it rains multiple days in a row? My feet really couldn’t handle that. Why not get waterproof shoes? For one moving furniture shoes wear out quickly. Water proof shoes are expensive. Waterproof shoes also allow water over the top, and then the water is sealed in with your foot. So I say don’t even get waterproof shoes. I just get the 14 dollar wall mart shoes and wear water proof socks. Then I arrive at work when its raining feeling confident, and I splash around in puddles all day long without a care. My feet feel great day after day, and the socks last a long time. They are an awesome option for me, and I highly recommend them.

They'll keep your feet dry!
I love these. They feel a little like my wetsuit but the most important thing to me is keeping my feet dry. They don't form to your feet very well but they're comfortable. I work on a ranch all day in very muddy, wet terrain. My boots only last about 30 minutes before water seeps inside and they're water resistant. So, I needed more. I did a lot of research before buying these. 12 hours in mud and 6 inch water and my feet stayed dry! You'll want to wear shoes larger than your norm. For example, I wear a size 7 but I bought my boots a size 8 so I could wear thick socks. I'm happy I did because these socks wouldn't have fit otherwise. My feet are prone to getting cold so the extra insulation was nice but if your feet normal sweat, they definitely will with these. You could always wear a thin pair of socks under these to soak up any sweat.

Seriously water proof
I went snow boarding for the first time a month or so ago and I wanted to make sure I had the right gear to be comfortable all day. Saw these and thought water proof socks sounded amazing but probably too good to be true. Sure enough, I get them in the mail and poor a glass of water on them and stand in the puddle on my floor and felt nothing on my feet.Went snow boarding, my feet stayed warm and dry the entire day, no issues. They are also very comfortable so no sacrifices were made to comparability for the practicality of the waterproofing.GET THEM

Saved the excursion!
Bought these socks for my husband to take to The Boundary Waters. The first day he underestimated a Portage and filled his boots with water. These socks saved the rest of the trip! He put these on, and they were a perfect barrier between his wet boots and his dry skin! A++

Not at all waterproof
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. These are not remotely waterproof. They become soaking wet and have to be wrung out within seconds of going in water. They do not even dry fast. Borderline fraudulent. Don’t take my word for it- just watch the video.

These should be standard issue for cold weather troops!
These are the most amazing socks. I am a repeat customer. My first shipment went to nephew stationed in Fairbanks who wore these on manuvers, and swears they saved his feet from frost bite during October training when it was raining and freezing. His boots were full of water, but he was amazed that his feet were warm and dry!Best way to describe these us they are like woven neoprene. Very cushy. Very warm and DRY!

Not for taking a shower if you want to keep the bottom of your feet dry
I bought these to use in the shower because the water where I live is hard water and it makes the bottom of my feet very dry to the point it cracks. On my first use of these socks, I put them on and hopped into the shower. After showering, I took the socks off and my feet were wet. Top and bottom. Other reviews have said these socks kept their feet dry after submerging them and I'm not sure how that was possible. Don't just take my word for it though. Go ahead and submerge your feet in a bucket of water for 10 mins while wearing these socks. Not saying ALL of these reviews are fake, but most must be, unless I received defect socks *shrugs*. Anyhow, this is just my experience with them.

Good product and good quality.
I bought these socks for my son to use on a soccer game on the field when it's raining. The socks work for the main propose, the feet of my son still dry after a hole game on rain. The only concern that I have is that the socks are a little thicker than normal. Whether you have a shoe that is close to your toes, maybe will be hard to fit.

Sizing may have been wrong
Stiff and bulky, not really what I was looking for and I doubt these were for women. I wear a size 6 in shoes and boots and these were way too big. Looked more like a small for men. Returned.

Good product. Not sure about the price...
Warm, but they feel weird putting on due to the materials. Once on they were mostly comfortable. Feet stayed warm and dry. Overpriced in my opinion for one pair.
