Smoked Salami Sausage, Salchichon DAK (Pack of 3)

These are really delicious. Excellent quality. Been buying this brand for decades. I remember these back in the '60s

DELICIOUS!!!! Incredibly delicious...and incredibly difficult to find. Thank you Amazon! I used to get this in the wine/cheese department of the local grocery store in the 70s. In the 80s, Sams' carried it one holiday season. It goes by the name Dak (or sometimes in the past Plumrose branded it).It seems to vanish for 10 years at a time. Last time I found it from a vendor in Florida (he was the only distributor in the U.S.), I had to buy 2 cases.It is unlike any salami. It is not hard, but extremely soft in texture. Slightly salty and fatty. But the flavor is great. This current salami is made by Tulip and tastes and looks a little different from the past, but it is the closest to the salami of my childhood. If you feel it is too soft, I put mine in the freezer to firm it up. Great to snack on. Danish salami is not like your common Italian salami.

This product never fails me . The item is like a tradition in my family and could be used in a variety of dishes. I'm so glad i'm able to purchase through amazon because my local stores do not carry it.. It's a bit pricey like everything these days. I just don't order as frequently as i would like and when I travel back home I stack up the supplies.

I used to enjoy Dak salami back in the day when my job brought me off the grid. Kept it in my daybag. It never went bad. Dak, Triscuits and beer. all the important ingredients for a growing boy.For some reason, Dak is not marketed in upstate NY, and I've gone Dakless for almost 20 years. When I saw it advertised on Amazon, I bought a few and I wasn't disappointed.And the ingredients arent all that bad either. If you like salami, try this. If youre married, I suggest you give your mate a piece of Dak, just in self defense. Garlic somehow is less noticable when you both have it on your breath. Just sayin'.
