Adventure Time: Distant Lands (DVD)

This was my first time purchasing a dvd from Amazon so I was a bit worried it would be damaged (giving how some reviews stated that it came damaged). It arrived today (came quickly) and no damage at all! DVD is intact with no damage to it and the cover box is in perfect condition! Super happy with this seller :) I love these episodes so I am super happy I get to have them on dvd with an amazing cover box! I highly recommend purchasing movies from this seller!

My niece loves this show. She watches it so much, that now her brothers and other cousins are all starting to watch it. For a cartoon, it's pretty based in real life, like it can get serious and help teach life lessons. The older kids get and understand that aspect, while the younger kids just love all the different characters and settings. Really great gift, happy I got it for them.

Before I address the content of the episodes I’ll start with something I rarely see in reviews on dvds and such.I got the product I ordered!! The disc played as it should, the packaging was as expected and didn’t have any damage to it. In terms of physical product this is exactly what i expected to receive.Now as for the contents of the episodes- it was absolutely stunning and pulled at the heart in every single episode. As someone who grew up with adventure time and bought the complete series just to see it all again this was a gorgeous and satisfying addition to the original storyline. We got screen time for some of the characters we didn’t necessarily see in the spotlight as often and even got answers to some characters backstories. Anyone who loved adventure time should see distant lands. The animation was gorgeous and smooth and tear worthy.

The media could not be loaded. I'm currently living in Korea, and the delivery is very fast. Especially, the video quality is clean and the sound quality is good. There was no damage to the product. If you're a fan, you'll love it without fail. The disk case is also made to be safely taken out without damage to the disk.

Here would be a movie review for this disc, but instead my critique is the quality of the product.Before I had a chance to enjoy this disc, I first had to open it from the envelope. From what I can tell, this product was damaged BEFORE it was shipped because it was in an envelope with another Blu-Ray disc that did not have any damage on it. So the onus is not on the person who delivered this package, but the person who shipped it thinking "Meh."To Mr. "Meh", whose job it is to do quality control, you have once again failed. I have seen other people report the same problems with the same Blu-Ray packaging. The disc is OK, but the container is cracked with sharp plastic shards. Imagine if a child had their hands on this container or had swallowed the shards of broken plastic.This is not a one-off thing.A report will need to be filed with the Consumer Products Safety Commission about these plastic disc containers. I would advise Amazon to inspect their DVD and Blu-Ray products with keener vision.

This limited series offers a look of some of the characters on their own personal journeys. Most stories take place after the series finale but one episode is a prequel. Adventure Time grows up a little with each season and this one is no exception. It doesn't play out like a regular season and each episode is its own distict story, almost like a film each episode. It doesn't quite reach the heights of the original series but it still offers to make you laugh, cry, and feel emotions that are otherwise indescribable. Highly recommended for long time Adventure Time fans although newcomers will have to start at the beginning to fully appreciate it.

I loved the original show so much there is no way I could miss out on watching this HBO title. Worth every second. I bought it after watching it on HBO so I could share the adventure with my brother. I highly recommend the whole series including the HBO Distant Lands. I was on the brink of crying after watching this. The fun will never end my friends!
