Rather large for a place mat
Check the sizing before buying. I didn't and thought place mats would be a standard size.These are large. They are very thin too so are rather flimsy and tend to slide on my shiny table.The decor is rather nice so I will keep them for now.You may need to look elsewhere for something a bit sturdier for the job.

Great peely mat
I had a very old one bought from Morrisons years ago but no longer available, I called it my peely mat. It has to be the best solution for peeling or preparing fruit and veg on, a good size and really flexible. I have a compost bin nearby so I just fold and tip the waste into it. I try not to cut on it but now I have enough spares for my lifetime so ....!
