I love the sound! I bought this for my kids to play. This is a perfect size and volume for them. It is well constructed and sturdy for handling. It has a wonderful feel. The surface has a thinly applied protective coating. You can still feel the grain and the dips and holes.Some of the reviews complained of the speed at which the filler falls. This can be controlled by how quickly/slowly you turn the stick.
