1000 Assorted Magic: The Gathering Cards with Rares and Foils! Includes CoolStuffInc Tokens!

I’ve bought other 1000 bulk card boxes. This one wasn’t great. Several cards had more 5 or 6 copies and over 20% are from 2 sets (Forgotten Realms). Other bundles has really useful commons, like shock, giant growth, or in summon. It seems Cool Stuff Inc took great care to put less than useful commons. They did a good job of providing many gild cards for two color deck support.

I asked my Mom for a "bundle from a recent set" and this is what she ended up buying and having sent to my house. If you plan on getting this as a gift for someone, please don't. Buy an actual Wizard of the Coast official packaged item, like some booster packs or a deck.The product itself is just several really bad rare cards, and hundreds of other commons / uncommons, with way too many duplicates. An assortment should not have this many duplicates. And the decent commons / uncommons can be bought for 10 cents each so it is rather pointless. The rares are very bottom of the barrel, worth like 25 cents if anything.This ended up just being a waste of my time even looking through them.You are basically paying for someone's leftover trash they offloaded somewhere.At the very least, this should have come with 2-3 rares valued at $2-$5, so someone can actually get ANYTHING of value / use out of this.I only gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because it is interesting to see different mechanics across years of Magic, but even that wasn't all encompassing, and something I could have just looked up online anyway.
