The camera is good for the price point.It will lock up a lot when using WiFi.Using a network cable, it will lock up, but not as often.The camera will not keep time no matter what settings I use.The Camhi app...I have been using cameras with this app for over 10 years. It is one of my favorite apps.

Wish I could say I like this product. 90% of the time the camera is "offline" so I can't even access what the camera is seeing. I keep getting "human detection", notifications, once a morning every morning even though there is no one awake or making sound at that time. But during the day I can walk in front of it and it detects literally nothing. Wish I wasn't outside my return date or I'd be sending this back.

Initial Review Sept 23, 2021I now have eight WiFi based video surveillance cameras around our house. This one is an indoor model joining three others in critical areas of our home. Specifically this one is mounted on the ceiling of the garage. If there is an intruder they will be recorded somewhere around, or in, our home.For all of the eight cameras I have I rank this one second best, but for price it is the best. The other one that I like a bit better is an outdoor model with built in solar panels to keep it charged. That one is portable and over twice the price of this one. This one is fixed in place but could easily be relocated as long as there is an AC power source available.I found this Wewel easy to start up, connecting to our home WiFi. It has a unique, R2D2 like, sound communication method for pairing the camera to my phone. It worked great.This is one of two of my cameras that has Pan, Tilt, and Zoom capability.There is one important feature that this camera has. I won't use a camera without this feature. That being a local microSD card slot. I don't have to rely on the WiFi signal strength, a base station, or internet access to capture and view videos. They are all captured on the SD card.Can't find where the microSD card goes? It's not obvious nor did I find it in any documentation. To insert an SD card roll the camera up until the socket for the SD card is exposed.I particularly like the "follow" feature. If someone walks through my garage the camera will follow and video that moving person. This saves me from having to manually fix a certain camera angle.Pros:- Nice looking- Easy setup- Table mount or mount on supplied bracket- USB powered- New 4MP model (previous was 2MP)- Pan, Tilt, Zoom from remote- microSD card slotCons:- Start up tone so loud I had to abandon my late evening setup.I recommend this Wewel 2K 4MP camera.

The hardware associated with this camera is so good I had no choice but to give it five stars despite the fact the software is only adequate. The camera provides an excellent picture with clarity and excellent color rendition. I have tried five different indoor cameras and in terms of picture quality, this one is the best. The only feature that I dont like is the inability of the camera to be aimed down so you can see things below the camera that are close. I solved the problem by placing the back of the camera on a coaster so the camera when pointed straight is actually aiming down by 20 degrees. A minor issue given the superb quality of the picture.I wish the software were of comparable quality, but it is adequate and works. It makes adding the camera relatively painless. You can either connect it directly using an ethernet cable and search for it, or use the sound transfer method from your phone. I used the latter to test it, and was impressed with how quickly it setup the camera. However, the software does not provide good control over position as the position arrows move the up and down and left and right positions too far each time. I found no method of improving the resolution of the position arrows. The swipe approach also moves the camera in much too large segments unless you are really careful to make small swipes. The good news is that with practice the swipe method does provide decent pointing resolution.

I just plugged this into my NVR, powered it up and the image came right up. So much sharper than my old indoor IP camera! I was able to modify various camera settings with an IP scanner tool. I had to reboot the camera and NVR a couple of times after making changes and everything is working fine so far. I can still play around with settings if needed, so I like this ONVIF camera very much. How come other brands can't be so flexible and inexpensive? The camera also shows up in my current NVR android app without having to change anything! There's a little delay with incoming camera sound in my app but that doesn't bother me. I can't speak to the two way microphone function as I've never been successful with any of my two way audio cameras using my app so I don't know if it's a setting or a problem with the app I use? I had no trouble with the PTZ controls but I already have another PTZ camera so I don't know if it's just practice using that one or if the other reviewer has a different issue? I hope this company will continue to support and produce these excellent cameras.
