Front Grill w/Mesh Matte Black Grille Compatible with 07-18 Jeep JK JKU

Love it, easy to install and I love the look

Decided to paint the hood with semi gloss black. Then, clear coat a few times. Buff with compound, polish, and wax. Used boat varnish on the grill flag. The new hood locks to replace the old latches is a pain to install with the grill off. Used a small piece of finishing clay on the tip of a screw driver to connect the bolt of the driver side latch. It’s the most difficult side. Happy with the results. The only issue I had with the full install is the clips. I watched several videos and none said this one trick. The clips on the grill did not slip easily onto the Jeep. BUT the clips on the Jeep worked perfect. I had to remove the clips which was a pain, though once on the Jeep spots the grill easily clicked into place. The clips are like little teeth. Once gripped won’t budge. Due to removing the grill and the black caps I had to use the original caps as the others wouldn’t come out once installed. The original do. I’d recommend keeping your original black cap tabs in case you find yourself in a pickle during install. Or, you can buy a kit with extras. Amazing price. Amazing look. Personalize with or without paint or clear coat. Due to reviews discussing rust elected to treat the metal grill. Plus protect the plastic as I travel often so hoping this upgrade with clear coat will help the new front end last for a while on the road ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯 Update /\ My Jeep has the locking hood bolt. Until applying the Marin grade varnish to help with rust and add sheen didn’t realize I need to drill a sizable hole to allow me to unlock the hood. Other than this looks amazing. Several YouTube clips give various install tips. It’s a fun way to enjoy Jeep life. Mine is used for work projects and rough doorless German Shepherd adventures. The flag is what sold me. The attitude eyes second. Price, their gotta yes 🙌🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

When I ordered this, I fully expected to get a cheap, flimsy, plastic grill that I was going to have to drill out, or otherwise "customize" in order to get it to fit the way I needed it to. I'm pleased to say that I was wrong on all counts. The grill arrived well protected, well packaged, and surprisingly quick. When I unpackaged it, I was very pleasantly surprised to see the grill was much heavier than expected, much thicker than expected, and overall felt very sturdy and well put together. IMPORTANT!!! If you have an aftermarket front bumper / winch on your Jeep, you will NEED to remove the entire thing before you install this. I was able to get my factory grill off with my front bumper & winch still installed, but to fit this thing on without damaging it, I was forced to remove the bumper & winch. This is not the grill's fault, nor the seller's fault, but it would have been nice to know before I started the install. If you're running the factory bumper, and maybe even some of the aftermarket bumpers without a winch, the entire install should take you about 30 mins, tops. Everything lined up exactly how it should have. There was no holes that needed to be expanded to make it fit, etc. The headlights lined up nicely, etc. Very straightforward install. Overall, I'm very pleased, and should the need ever arise, I'll happily buy this again.

Since I had never taken the front grill of my Jeep before I did not realize it was only plastic. This item was as thick, if not thicker, then the original part I removed. Took my by surprise a bit. It was a 15 minute job to swap the parts out. All the hardware comes with item. So if you break a clip while taking the old one out you can use the new stuff they sent, fits perfectly. Looks bad ass once installed. Since my jeep is a cool blue color with black accents this fit in nicely - no need to paint it. This is the wife's Jeep and she loves it. Paired with other upgrades and items it makes the Jeep just look that much meaner. Quality is solid and installation was a snap.

Wearying stripping a bit hard to install and had to remove a clip holding a tube of wires in order for it to fit but still installed it in less than 30 minutes.
