Superb plug and play with great pictures!
I don't why people rate different than 5. It's literally plug and play. Pictures quality superb!

good, but depends on needs
***Before you continue, I must advise that i'm reviewing this from a gamer/streamer perspective***I had been interested in this setup concept for a while, so i decided to give this product a try and ran it through a few different tests with a PS5:HDR isn't supported, nor is 1440p and VRR. Went back to look through the description to see if this was covered and didn't find that anywhere. When connected to a capture card, the lag/response time is a bit increased. I then connected it to my gaming monitors to test. The lag is noticeable, but not horrendous. If you’re playing something that’s reflex driven, this ain’t it. Doesn’t support anything over 1080 on consoles, which is noted in the description, but still odd to me..The lag is actually less noticeable on my older monitors using a hdmi>dvi adapter from the receiver... but i had to alter some settings on the monitor to fix the colors. This would probably be useful for a Switch though, i can see it being best used in a bedroom setup. Setup the dock near the bed and have this used with the tv. I’ll likely do that, but not a good alt for the ps5.Overall, my rating is lower due to a lack of information and my expectations not being met based on what i did read. This is definitely a useful gadget and very easy to use/set up, but if you crave any resolution past 1080 for a console, this will not work for you.

Helped me view my Tivo in another room
So this is USB powered and it comes with the power cords but there are no 2 pronged power adapters that come with it. I didn't need any as my power strips have USB ports but you can use an old phone adapter if needed. So I am fairly tech savvy so I went about setting this up without looking at the instructions. I plugged one part into the Tivo HDMI port and the other into an empty HDMI port of my TV. I added the new HDMI channel and... nothing. My TV even asked me if I had turned on the device. Then I briefly glanced at the instructions and saw "pairing". I thought, Oh! I need to pair! Still nothing.I didn't need to pair. And I'm telling you this so you don't make the same mistake I did - the piece with the 2 antennas is the "catcher" of the signal - put that on the device you want to receive the signal. The small circular device is the "sender" of the signal - put that on the source device (in my case on the Tivo HDMI port). Once I put them in the correct place, everything worked perfectly. Picture, sound, everything. And there is even a 3.5mm port for headphones on the receiver in case you want to listen in silence. If you are using it to transfer a tv or tivo signal, you'll have to make sure your remote works for the distance. My remote needs an extra click now and then but it works well enough.I'm super happy with this - it saved me from having to get another Tivo device.

I received a used product with missing cables.
They sent me a product that obviously was returned, and didn't even care to put it in a box. It was in a plastic bag as you can see in the picture. I gave it a try though, and here are my finding. The HDMI dongle definitely needs a USB power, but it works. The picture has sharpen edges, and higher contrast. Not so high quality. The Android cast didn't work at all with Android 10 and 8, and the iPhone mirroring worked one time but didn't work after the first try.

A convenient device to have that saves tons of cable management through walls.
The locale of set-up will require its own power supply.

Low Latency and Easy Connection
The power over HDMI feature for the transmitter was perfect for connecting my laptop to a projector across the room. It cut down on the cable bulk and allowed me to stand far away from the projector while still using my laptop. 5/5.

it's small in size, but small in range
It doesn't have the best range, only 20-30 feet. The phone mirroring is also not great stretching and distorting in portrait mode. It is only good for sitting at your couch and connecting your laptop. There is better out there for a similar price.

This is the second one of these that I bought.
I purchased one of these for the office and loved it so much I got one for home. I don't know why exactly, but the one at work seems to work much better than the one I have here. They both work, but the one at my house takes much longer to connect and doesn't seem as reliable. I assume it is because the network at my office is better, but maybe I just got a crappy one.
