I was using a walker for a long time, and I didn't like using the tennis balls on the back. I changed to the ski style of stoppers, and I had been very pleased with them. I was able to more easily slide along the floor, regardless of the type of flooring. I started to observe that the hardwood floors were becoming marred by the slides. I was happy to find these fabric covers for the slides, and despite some issues with the original order, where there were some stitching issues which were resolved in an expeditious manner of replacement, they were always used in the house. The covers enabled a more smooth glide and transfer along the floors. There were two problems I have had with them, though. The first is that they do not always stay secured on the slides, especially when they are used on carpet. The second, is that they wear out very quickly. This may be relative to my amount of use, but for example, I would wear through one each week. If they ever were used outside, you can count on an immediate hole. If just used in the house, and not with the frequency and dependency for which I used them, this would be a good product to have.

When moving from a hard surface to a carpeted surface, they do not stay in place.

This worked well indoors for the most part. [We used on wood and tile floors.] I noticed that it would get snagged on rough indoor/outdoor mats and the socks wear out quicker than I expected.I would not recommend for Outdoor use. We tried that once for a Doctor's Appt. We were One and Done; because when we got home the first thing we had to do was toss the warn through socks and put on a new pair.Ideally the manufacturer should add a silicone insert and thicker bottom material to make it more durable.All that being said...I still found the walker socks to be useful.

I bought these because they were listed for use inside and out. What a lie! I never left my house and I spend most of my day in a recliner as I'm recovering from hip and knee total replacement.Holes in both ski cover from trips to the bathroom, and to and from my kitchen.I have hardwood floors and these didn't make it through the day on them. I can't imagine what going out might be like, I probably wouldn't make it to the end of my driveway to get the mail.Poorly made and they didn't live up to the description. They ate going back, holes and all!Don't waste your money, or the time it will take returning these.If I could have given it no stars, I would have. They are garbage!

Got these for my sister recovering from hip surgery. Her hardwood floors were being horribly scratched up from her walker’s “skis”. They were a little tight to put on but at least they won’t slide off. The price was right compared to having floors refinished.

As somone new to a walker, I bought skis per my PT's recommendation to move smoothly over different surfaces. My OT pointed out I needed something to protect my hardwood floors and these work well. I've not noticed any scratching of my floors.

They were easy to put on the slider feet, but because the fabric was so thin (flannel) they didn't last a month before they were worn out & full of holes. Will not buy again!!!
