I drive for a food delivery company, and use these to provide additional insulation for hot (or cold) food transportation. You can even smush them up and they provide a decent spacer inside of a bag,I'm sure they could be used in a thermal emergency, although I have never used them for that.

Actually picked these up to insulate our feral cat’s house for winter. She sure liked it. Covered it with straw so the noise didn’t scare her, and to make it extra cozy. Also threw a couple in the dash of the car in case of emergency. Impressed with the size. Quite inexpensive. Would work well in stadium seats too.

I used these to line the inside of my greenhouse/indoor grow room. They work great for reflecting light. After I lined the room with these, the temperature rose about 10° so they insulate well.

I have kind of an unusual use. I am putting them down on my subfloor as a thermal barrier under floor tile. It works. The portions of the floor that I haven’t covered yet are definitely colder than the part that is finished. I have an older mobile home that has a new subfloor put over the old one and they didn’t do that great a job of it. (Gaps at the edges and in the joins) so the Mylar sheets cover the joins and edge gaps, stopping the cold.I will be getting a larger package bc I am insulating all outside walls and replacing flooring. I wish I had discovered it before I pit down the bathroom tile.Pic of my use on the floor attached.

Worked to have in RV just as a backup

took these to Coachella and saved us from the cold nights!! It’s also a good blanket to sit on. Comes in a 4 pack so you can use one for each day and even give one to a friend! I don’t recommend reusing just because once it’s open it is hard to fold back into a small square.
