Packaging was poor, one box was full of spilled coffee, and the capsules are not very good.Taste is average, nothing special.

To be honest, I do not need fancy coffee. I always add some sugar and a few splashes of milk to each cup, so the original unsweetened taste of the pure coffee is not that important for me. I prefer the freshly ground coffee to the capsule/pod options, but at home, using the Nespresso machine is much simpler.I tend to by cheaper brands for our Nespresso machine, like Lavazza (currently has the same price as Aiello), Bestpresso, Real Coffee. This is how I ended up testing this Aiello brand, too. It is advertised as an authentic Italian coffee that is mainly targeting the non-pod coffee drinkers.Straight out of the box, the capsules seem to be a little bit cheaper quality than the competition. Please check the attached picture. The Aluminium foil cover is not aligned to the center on the capsule. I put a few capsules from other brands next to it for comparison. OK, the quality of the capsule does not always affect the outcome, so we should rather compare the taste... We should assume the capsules contain the same amount of ground coffee.Tested the Classic and Intense versions, I would say these ones are on the weaker side of the coffee pod range, although the color and the taste is fine. With or without milk I would probably not be able to differentiate which of these cheaper brands is my current cup from. You can definitely taste the difference if you compare them to the usually expensive brands (Illy) or to the official Nespresso capsules.This current batch I am testing is sold for $28 for a 40 count, that means it is $0.7 per pod. I have just seen cheaper 10 count from Peets yesterday at a store (only one taste was discounted) around $0.56. And as of right now the 40 counts of the Peets and official Nespresso pods (50 count) are both sold for the $0.7 per pod on Amazon. Those have better pod quality, taste and smell. I do not see how the current price of these Aiello pods is justified. If the Aiello pods were under $0.5 they might be a viable alternative.There are bunch of options in the $0.3 - $0.4 range if you are willing to order a larger batch (50+ count). For me, those very cheap options seem comparable to cups of coffee you will get using these Aiello pods. It might be my taste to blame. If you drink your coffee dark and without sugar, you might like Aiello better.

This is a pack of 4 boxes of capsules in 4 different styles for a total of 40 capsules: Intense, Classic, 100% Arabica, and Decaf. All are medium roast.For a medium roast, this espresso is smooth and flavorful. I brewed 2 and 4 cup options and both were good and produced a good crema. I used the bold setting on my machine, which uses hotter water.I did have a problem with a few of the capsules not brewing properly. The water stalled half-way through and the remainder dripped out. However, it could be my machine. I have an "Instant" brand espresso machine, which is supposed to be compatible with all original nespresso capsules.

The media could not be loaded. I was a little hesitant in trying these out because I noticed that a few of the reviews mentioned that these tasted a little on the weekside. We prefer more of the bold and robust tasting espressos but we wanted to give these a shot anyway because they looked like they had a good assortment of flavors and of flavors and blends. We were so glad we tried these out because these are actually quite delicious. I don't really know what some of the other reviewers thought when they were saying they tasted more like light roast but I think these are pretty spot on for medium and possibly even medium dark roasts. I like that these have quite a bit of crema to them, which makes them frothy and more decadent and rich. We have used a few out of each blend and box and have had no malfunctioning at all. We use these in our nespresso brand machines and they have been functioning just perfectly.

I smelled the coffee and tasted a few drops. It isn't bad coffee. Too bad the pods are terrible though.I have 2 classic Nespresso machines. 1 from a year ago and one from this Christmas. In both machines, these pods fail. In the photos, the capsule for this product is red. It uses foil at the top and bottom which might be fine, but the capsule is just too short. You only get shallow perforations on the top and bottom of the pods due to the height of the pods. Again, this is in two separate machines. You will get a few drops only. I have 8 different after market capsule and this is the only time I had a capsule fail. I tried 8 capsules to be sure.

This morning I tried 2 of the 4 samples of Aiello Caffe Italian Espresso Coffees. Each of the 4 boxes contain 10 capsules, and all are Medium Roast. These are the capsules for the Original N-machine styles. First one today was Classic, made 2 capsules - Lungo in the same cup. Loved it - the flavor was perfect, aroma was delightful - very enjoyable way to start the day. Later was Intense, again 2 capsules - Lungo. Same impression, just a bit more bite but not bitter - full-bodied would be a good description with a nice creaminess added. The small Espresso size is okay, but I've found the Lungo setting (using 2) is my preferred cup-of-coffee size. More coffee, savor it longer! Tomorrow will be the 100% Arabica sample, and then the Decaf (which is always nice for an afternoon or evening cup). I'm expecting the same delicious results. This brand from Italy so far is superior - the coffees are excellent, and the capsules are a good quality for my machine. Highly recommend.
