I bought two of these cameras and the directions were easy to follow and straight forward; however, the instructions do have an error, and I did have difficulty getting hold of customer service. Once I did however, I was directed to a video that showed the SD card being formatted in the CAMERA (settings > Format > yes) but the actual directions say to format SD card in the computer.Before formatting to the camera, the camera of course would not record, and because there was nothing to view or record to, the wifi function also did not work.Once we got all of that remedied by formatting through the camera, the camera is excellent for daytime and good for IR photos and video at night.Customer service was very helpful, once I was able to connect.Edit: if you access the photos and video via wifi from your phone, it’s clear that the images are being stored on a server in China. I’ll post a pic of that screenshot next time I access camera.

I had trouble getting the camera to work. However, the customer service was great. They gave me many tips to get it corrected and fully refunded my money even though we had gone past the return period. And they continue to troubleshoot with us. They definitely stand behind their product.

I ordered this based on a review in Popular Mechanics. I think I followed the instructions (with the assistance of YouTube). This camera did not work on several dimensions. I ordered this because critters were eating my wife's dahlias. We strapped this to a tree next to the flowers and it did not take one picture for the two or three days it was there. I know we had critters because the flower were getting eaten. After a couple of days, we had some rain. The camera was supposed to be all-weather, but it was filled with water after that rain. We returned it.Let me amend this review. I have gotten several follow up messages from the merchant who sold this. They have gone out of the way to make this right. In retrospect, this may have been a defective camera from an otherwise good company. We got a prompt refund and several apologies from these folks. Consequently, I have amended this review to temper my prior review in light of the response we got from the company.

I'm giving this 5 stars, even though I had trouble with the first one. It had a problem of recording when there was no movement or animals around. But when I chatted with Cecilia in the tech support chat on the UsoGood website, she was very nice, and she said that this was the first experience they've had with this problem, and they would gladly send me a new one if I would send this one to them. The thing is, I had already submitted a replacement order from Amazon, so I had to return it to them. But the replacement trail cam is awesome! I have tried several trail cams by different manufacturers, and this one has the overall best photo & video quality. As you can see in the enclosed frame capture, this car was going by at about 40mph, and the camera captured a nice, clear picture. I got the camera mainly to catch the bears that keep getting into my trash can when placed out at the curb for pickup. But of course, no bears showed up yet, so I deleted all the night photos and videos of cars going by. I have only had this cam for a few days, and I'm anxious to see how the bears or other night critters show up. When I do see some, I will submit another review. But I am extremely happy with this trail cam, and the very nice person in the support chat. I also love the fact that I can connect to the cam via WiFi from up to about 30 feet away to view live footage or photos and video recordings on the SD card, or adjust any settings in the camera. You can also download the photos or videos to your phone over the WiFi.

Pros: This camera takes pictures that are quite good. It performs reliably at night and even during pouring rain. Used a 64GB memory card and it worked fine.Con: The camera claims to have wifi. I was able to get the wifi to work once, once! It worked once only when inside and my phone was two inches away from the camera. WIFI never worked again after that.Changed from 2 star review to 4 star review because of customer service.They make sincere efforts to make things right.
