This Hearth & Harbor soy candle wax worked wonderfully. My daughter used it to make homemade candles as gifts, and everyone absolutely loved them. The wax melts smoothly, sets nicely, and makes clean, beautiful candles. It was perfect for crafting and gift-giving.

The flakes do not stick together or clump in the bags. I have used over 100 pounds of this wax in my candle business. The zip lock bags help keep the wax from drying out. This wax is easy clean up with molds soap and hot water. This is very important when using different colored dyes. I would recommend this wax if your truly in the candle making business or it just a hobby very easy wax to work with.

Great starter kit. Came as expected. Does not come with a thermometer but those are easy to find and cheap to order on Amazon. Appreciated that the bag of wax is re-sealable! Will absolutely be reordering this brand of wax!

Honestly i got this as a way to make some christmas gifts. so far it works great. i’ve had no problem with it. I’ve seen people burn their wax when melting it in the microwave, but this stuff did perfectly fine. if you want to start candle making, i would start with this kit. Estimate, you could definitely make like 40 small candles with this, maybe like 80 tea lights

I purchased a Used: Like New kit. I was happy to find that everything was included and to save a buck or two on cost! There were no instructions included, but I did see them on the website and chose not to follow them exactly anyway. I made my first candle in a used clean candle jar. Worked like a charm, except next time I will be sure to clean the interior base better so the "wick sticker" will adhere. I didn't purchase any of the extras beyond the kit (no molds, pitchers, scents or anything as I wanted scent free, white candles in jars I already have). To make the candle, I just set the oven to 200/250 degrees, set the wick into the candle jar using the sticker and wick holder, poured the wax shavings into the candle jar, placed the jar in a water bath (a pyrex dish with water to keep the jar from breaking) and let the oven do the work. Probably took a bit longer to melt, but I didn't stir it or anything, just let it sit until completely melted. No cleaning of any additional parts. Easy peasy. As far as value, I'm not sure yet. It looked and sounded like a ton of wax shavings, but time will tell. Happy to be able to reuse some of my favorite canlde holders in the future!
