Like another reviewer stated, this mask passed (mostly- the flame wavered) the candle test, water test (inside for sure/outside just can't be drenched for minutes without soaking through a little, but I doubt that's how aerosols work anyway), and the smell test.I compared these to certified Kf94 masks that I have, and the only major difference is that the outer layer is a softer, thinner filter material on these, kind of like a really fine flannel instead of the super water resistant layer on the outside like the certified kf94.The reason I still give these five stars despite the "flaw" is that they're a little more breathable, which also lends to a better seal on the face. You don't create as much of a vacuum from the pressure/resistance breathing in and out, which is safer. I wish I could get these lab tested!Anyway, they're adorable, cheap and functional.They do not come individually wrapped though, FYI (but I prefer this too)

I ordered these for my 6 year old in 1st grade and they appear to pass all the tests that "tell" you that they are what we need.... We have avoided COVID this long, so hopefully, we will continue with these as well! Fingers crossed and good luck! I ordered the STARS-02 because they were prime and had "free returns" as I was worried they may not pass the "tests" - highly recommend as far as I can tell.

My kid breaks masks faster than my dog eats toys. Finally one survived a whole day at school. He said it was comfortable and I’m just happy I won’t owe his teacher spare masks.

My 5 year old son loves this mask. It is very comfortable and breathable .

This is horrible material so disappointed. So thin is even thinner that a surgery mask or a cloth mask plus it has an horrible smell. I have to put double mask to my kids.

Too small for my 7 yr old. Best for 5 and under.
