I bought these as I have been having a lot of medical testing and removing/reinserting my metal barbells was bloody and painful. They looked a bit flimsy, but actually they were easier to insert and I have had zero crusties (old barbells, I still had a lot of crusties even though they were in more than long enough to be fully healed).

Unfortunately, when unscrewing the ball from each end of the barbell, I was left with what barely looks like 3/4 of a revolution of threading.On that note, if you look at the sharp points and edges in the pictures, you can see how absolutely unpleasant that would be to push through any kind of piercing you have.The only part about this product I liked was the 4mm ball ends. For some reason they seem hard to find for any nipple piercings.Lastly, the pricing isn't the greatest for this quality. I bought a 12pk from another seller with much higher quality and paid the same. (D. Bella). I took two barbells (that have threads) from D. Bella and screwed on the 4mm ball ends as my solution.

As someone who has had to go through multiple procedures and surgeries, I’ve gone through my fair share of piercing retainers... these have been the best quality yet. And on top of that... their customer service is impeccable!

It's pretty much invisible but easily comes off. I swallowed two balls alreadyIt's a must for my job so now I have to buy more

What I needed for my MRI. So there was no metal involved. Price way to high for such small pieces of plastic.
