I think these work on echelon ex-4s.These pedals' mounting diameter is 9/16".Work for most spin bike except some older bikes are using 1/2 "mounting diameter.

Can you remove the cage?

The cage is part of the peddle and provide footing support when used without SPD cleats. Cage is only used on one side if you do not have SPD cleats.
