Safety, comfort and convenience make the Frontier ClickTight an exceptional Harness 2 Booster Seat. Car seat installation is easy as buckling a seatbelt thanks to the ClickTight Installation System. In the Frontier Harness 2 Booster Car Seat you are surrounded in safety. This booster seat features the patented Britax SafeCell Impact Protection system which includes a steel frame, energy absorbing base, V shaped tether to minimize seat rotation and staged release stitches that slow and reduce forward movement in the event of a crash. Two integrated cup holders keep drinks and snacks within reach and are easy to clean between rides. The 9 position quick adjust harness grows along with your child and it's easy to transition from a harness to a belt positioning booster by tucking the buckles and straps within the seat. A life Saver!!
We were involved in a Bad car accident July 1st. I start tearing up think about how this car seat potentially save my 2 year olds life. My son was not injured and was safe and sound. I would recommend this car sit to anyone and actually replaced his car seat from the accident with the exact same one. I am very confident that he is safe in this car seat and dont ever plan on buying another model again. My husband at first when I purchased my sons original carseat was a little upset that I spent so much money on this car seat model a couple years ago. When we got in the car accident and all of us were hurt but our 2 year old, he looks at me and says he would give up all of his money he ever made to keep our kids safe.

GOING IN THE GARBAGE!!! READ CONSUMER REPORTS ON THIS SEAT!!!
10/19/18 ~UPDATE~I summed up my previous review stating that I would probably return the seat. I didn't, against my better judgement, because it was a Britax seat after all and they are supposed to be one of the top names in safety. BIG MISTAKE!!! Consumer Reports tested these seats independently recently. Their tests subject the seats to more realistic conditions such as car design and speeds. Not only did the Frontier Clicktight fail... IT FELL APART!!!! The harness pulled right through the seat!!! The seat was destroyed in the test. Granted, the seat performed fine for the average 3 yr old. However, at the higher tested weight equivalent to an older child, the seat failed miserably. It is rated for harness use up to 90 lbs and it failed far below this weight. What a disappointment!!! While Britax has responded to this news about Consumer Reports testing that this seat still meets the government requirements... who the heck wants a seat that quite literally FELL APART in crash tests going JUST 5 MPH FASTER than the government testing standards??? That's 35 mph vs. 30 mph!!! What would happen to my child in this seat if I got into an accident going 45 mph??? This seat is going in the garbage. That's a lot of money to spend to have to throw it in the garage after less than a year. If I could give it zero stars I would.~ Initial Review ~I bought two of these to replace my Britax Frontier 85's that had to be tossed after an accident. LOVED those seats. They were roomy, durable, nice fabric and fit both my kids (3 and 6) perfectly. It is nice that they added some bells and whistles to these upgraded models. They install easier. They adjust easier. They adjust without having to remove them. Huge bonus! However, they are SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the 85's which made one too narrow for my 6 yr old and the other likely to be outgrown in a year for the same reason. While my kids are tall, they are too skinny to find pants that fit them properly. So this seat is clearly not made for an average child. My 85's were large enough to be functional booster seats when the time came. I cannot imagine these seats being large enough for any child over 4 yrs old just in harness mode!!. Super disappointing!!! In addition, the head wings are very flimsy and they seem way too high when the harness is adjusted correctly to just above the shoulders. The top of my son's head hits about midway up and I just cannot imagine that is safer than his head being squarely surrounded. Finally, this fabric might be easily wiped clean but does not feel softand comfortable like in our 85's. Will probably return this seat.

This thing is BIG and has one annoying characteristic
First things first. If you were thinking how heavy can 22-24 pounds really be, maybe I should try air travel with this seat; don't. I get it, you want the safest option for your child in the destination city, not some barfed on rental car company seat. Yes, it would be significantly safer having this compared to one of those all-in-one plastic molded things that slips and slides and will never meet the <1" movement requirement. This thing really is large though; unwieldly unless you're reasonably strong and probably at least 5'5" so you have the wingspan to wrestle it in and out of cars. I'm uploading a picture of it side by side with a typical adult fold-up chair. The armrests are about the only easy place to grab from, so if you're able to hold a pair of 10lb weights out in front of you for an extended period, you should be okay, but if not, it's going to be difficult to toss around. If you have one of those fold-up rollers and wanted to wheel it through the airport for gate check, to avoid paying to check it, yes, that will probably be fine, just get a nice dense bag for it so baggage handling doesn't make it ugly, however, you're running a risk by doing that because of its weight; they are likely still going to toss it around like a typical heavy piece of luggage as it will easily be over 25lbs once you put a decent heavy sack around it.Second item needing attention is what others have pointed out; the absolutely stupid channels for the seat belt in the back when using it in harness mode. If the back sits flush against your seat, it is hard to adjust the tightness of the harness, and you really need to pull it hard to ensure you're actually pulling on the strap and not against resistance created by the site, but then if you pull it too tight on your kid you're trying to pull it back the other way and making you doubt yourself all over again. It's fairly obnoxious, but can be solved with a thin / solid / flat board placed behind the seat no wider than necessary.Anyway, with those out of the way, this thing is a sturdy beast with a metal frame and serious side padding for side impact protection. I definitely have more confidence in this than a typical seat, and reviews from those who've actually been in crashes seem to back the feeling up. I'll put up with its size and weight for the protection.

Worth the price
This is the second Britax Frontier Clicktight we've purchased, and I couldn't be happier with it. Not only is installation easy to understand, but it's actually easy to do. I think this would be a great car seat for not only parents but also grandparents that don't want to have to do acrobatics to get the stinking car seat installed! The instructions are also very clear and easy to understand. They make it plain how the car seat should be installed for various weight/ height ranges. The first time I installed one, I probably did spend a little more time on it than I needed, but you should always make sure you're doing exactly the right thing when installing a car seat. My in-laws have a Recaro car seat that, while it is also a high-quality, expensive car seat, it's very complicated to install (at least, relative to the Frontier). If you're looking for a steel-frame, easy to use, high-quality booster/ car seat, save yourself the stress and headache and just get this one.

Great seat, fits my child amazing and easy and ...
Great seat, fits my child amazing and easy and tight install. Be mindful that if your child is skinny they may not fit the harness properly when you first start forward facing, my child didn't fit properly until closer to 4 (around 35lbs), but still fits the harness properly at 6.5yrs.This was a repurchase as we were in an accident and needed to replace the seat.
