Mmm! Yum! Melty Chewy Chocolaty Goodness!
Fresh out of the warm amazon package these are amazingly mmm! Yum! Melty Chewy Chocolatey Goodness was my first thought. The ingredients now include: Cashews, isomalto-oligosaccharides (prebiotic from tapioca) protein blend (pea protein isolate, brown rice protein, flax protein, organic hemp protein), organic dark chocolate chips (organic cane sugar, organic chocolate liquor, organic cocoa butter, organic soy lecithin, organic vanilla extract), organic alkalized cocoa powder, organic and natural flavors, organic unrefined extra virgin coconut oil, vegetable glycerin, sunflower lecithin, sea salt and monk fruit extract. So these are no longer sweetened with stevia and there is a little cane sugar in the chocolate chips, but minimal - so 3g total sugars per bar! But I think they taste amazing with the monk fruit extract.Total fat is 9g, 0mg cholesterol, 160mg sodium, 10g protein, 250mg potassium, 20mg calcium, 3.8mg iron, Total carbohydrates 21g.These are also gluten free but are made on shared equipment that processes peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, sesame, fish and shellfish. This is not a raw food actually even though that is in the name. It tastes deliciously raw however and is very natural. The ingredients are heated for food safety.I'll be eating one of these every day! Hey, you only live once!~The Rebecca Review

THE BEST bars!!!!
These bars are amazing! I can't believe how naturally low in sugar they are yet they taste like a delicious dessert without any artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols. Add to that they are full of healthy fats like omega 3s, they each have a good amount of clean plant protein, they are full of lots of raw ingredients which is a huge plus, and they each have a whopping 13 grams of fiber! I adore the texture! I would best describe it as a soft chewy cookie dough texture. So if you're looking for something crispy this probably isn't for you, but I love them. These bars never give me a blood sugar spike or crash, so if you have trouble in that area these are great.I haven't tried all the flavors yet, but for sure my favorite so far is the peanut butter dark chocolate and sea salt; it's amazing and seems to be the lowest in sugar at only 3 grams. I have also tried the cookie dough which was good but not as good as the peanut butter chocolate in my opinion. The mint chocolate was tasty but probably my least favorite as I found the mint flavor a tad overpowering as it seems to permeate the entire bar. But if you really like mint you'd probably love it! I really would like to try the expresso ones next!To sum it up these bars are wonderful. I think my two year old will probably even love them because theyre soft and easy to chew. My husband loves how the chocolate chip chunks seem so fancy and just melt in your mouth. Weather you're on a plant based, raw, vegan, low carb, keto, clean eating diet, or just want to try a healthier treat, buy these! After this fantastic review I must mention that I have had some errors In the number of bars I've received from this buyer. I ordered a 12 pack twice and a couple bars had been missing. However they got back to me immediately and were fantastic about replacing my box or refunding me, so In the end I was a very happy customer because I ended up with even more bars than I was supposed to have originally at no extra charge!

Warning: New ingredients inferior, contain potential mutagen
We have been buying Raw Rev Glo protein bars for many years. My Amazon order history alone shows 34 boxes bought and that's excluding those purchased elsewhere. I know this product and various flavors well; regular purchases included Creamy Peanut Butter, Crunchy Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Mixed Nuts & Caramel.Unfortunately, I will never buy these again.Sad, because they are a very low sugar vegan protein bar, but the lack of sugar doesn't compensate for the risk of the new ingredient they're using; Rebaudioside M.Previously, Raw Rev protein bars were sweetened with a prebiotic known as isomaltooligosaccharide (IMO). These are short-chain carbohydrates that have a digestion-resistant property, meaning they are slowly absorbed and not completely absorbed. In other words, great for blood sugar.Contrary to Raw Rev Glo's very misleading packaging which says "stevia free" (see attached photo, box on right), this product does indeed contain Reb M (which is short for Rebaudioside M). Reb M is the primary steviol glycoside found in the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant responsible for its sweetness. While it is true that Raw Rev Glo does not derive their Reb M from Stevia rebaudiana plant directly, they do use the identical molecule which is derived unnaturally (via a man-made process) using specialized yeast. The "sugarcane Reb M" is merely marketing, as it means the yeast use sugar as their feed. In actuality, almost any carbohydrate-rich feed would work (such as corn or wheat), so don't misconstrue the "sugarcane" as meaning this sweetener is a derivative of sugarcane. Rather, the GMO yeast merely feed off the sugarcane to produce Reb M. While it is true that the resulting Reb M byproduct is GMO-free, the yeast used to make it are indeed genetically modified. However, the genetically modified yeast used to create this Reb M sweetener are not my primary concern. Rather, it is the fact that steviol glycosides (e.g. Reb M) are genotoxic and mutagenic in vivo.A mutagen is something which causes permanent genetic damage to your DNA.If you're not familiar with in vivo, that means inside the body. While steviol glycoside are not directly mutagenic ex vivo (outside the body), mammalian studies have shown that intestinal microflora convert it (via digestion) to steviol, the aglycone of stevioside, which has been "found to be highly mutagenic" in rodents (source: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3887402/ ). Very little peer-reviewed research has been done on humans regarding this, but that which has been done suggests the same occurs in human intestinal microflora (source: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12504168/ ).Hopefully, Raw Rev Glo will reverse the decision to use this new controversial ingredient. Use of monk fruit and/or allulose would be ideal. However they are more expensive and for that reason, I'm not holding by breath on them switching.Although safe, chicory root fiber is often considered to be a cheap filler ingredient. It is not found in the old version but contained in the new. This being the first ingredient on the label is disappointing and like many products, manufacturers over time go down in the quality scale to save money. Eventually, they cheapen products past the tipping point, taking them from high to low quality. In my opinion, this is what has happened with Raw Rev Glo vegan protein bars. I do hope they reverse course.
