My husband loved this Ghosthorn fishing pole! It’s very light and convenient on the go. Disassemble into two-three pieces in and out of the case and the line spool with mock bate tools are easy to install too. The only down fall is it doesn’t come with weights and the tip fishing rod hook came off within in the first two times of using it but overall it’s an awesome fishing device.

I bought two of these. One for my dad to keep on his kayak and one for my step dad to keep on his pontoon and they both love them! It’s a great idea and a compact design. The kit comes in a zipper case with a foam insert. They both took the foam out once they assembled everything so they could store more fishing g accessories in the bag. It’s great! I would buy again!

It's OK, a little lighter action than it should be but it's OK. One of the eyelets became loose but I just reset it tightly and it's holding for now. The reel is actually the better part of thus combo. Was surprised how light the turns were while still pulling fish. Don't load the rod too much and you'll be fine.

I've taken the pole out about 4 times when camping. Have other poles I use on occasion but wanted something more sturdy and easy to carry. This pole appeared to fit the bill. The string that came with the pole CONSTANTLY got tangled up easily. I re-stringed the pole 3 times to make sure it was good but had some sort of ridiculous tangle more often than not. So I used my own string and it appeared to work fine. The last time I went camping, the lure got snag, so I tried to loosen the string a bit, then pull to get the lure to pop out. Well, that somehow snapped the pole in half. Top part just broke after about the third time when relocating to get out of the snag. That's just crazy to me, I use other poles that are much thinner and have never had a pole break so easy.... I don't know if this was just a bad product I got, but it definitely left me in a sour note. There are other poles I would definitely recommend before this one.

Got this just to keep in my car so I can stop and fish whenever I chose. But I’m really digging it more than expected.

The holes for the strong don't stay in place and it cause it to be difficult to use

Took it out fishing with my son on the kayak the day after it arrived. I have never had a telescoping rod before, but have wanted one for some time. The convenience and ease for getting through thick brush to tighter fishing spots is unmatched. This combo did not disappoint! Each section of rod between the guides is the same length, due to the fact that it's a telescoping rod. As such, the guides at the tip are further apart than a standard rod would be, and this causes the rod to flex in a unique way at the tip, but it wasn't a problem, just took some getting used to. I have the rod paired with a Ghosthorn tackle bag (seen in pics) and absolutely love the setup. Throw it on my back, hike it in and do some fishing without the hassle of dragging full length rods through those tighter spots and worrying about breaking them. The reel is smooth and I appreciate the larger knob on the crank. The travel bag it came in appears to be nice, however, I won't be using it. Seems like it would be great to leave in your vehicle for that quick grab-and-go fishing spot should you stumble on it. I tied one of the included lures on my five-year-olds rod, and sure enough, he caught fish! I didn't expect the rod to have any feel, being telescoping and all, but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't feel like I was fishing with a stick,it actually felt like a reasonable rod. Certainly it's not going to perform like a St. Croix, but it more than gets the job done. It's also a bit heavier than a normal rod, but again, there's no way around that if you want the convenience of telescoping. Overall I'm not sure there's a better telescoping rod/reel combo on the market. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again. Additionally, the customer service squad at Ghosthorn is second to none, so purchase with the confidence that they take care of their customers and care about their products.

This rod is fantastic, it is sensitive and sturdy. The reel is a good size and it is smooth retrieval and a good retrieval rate, the case is amazing the web pocket allows me to bring the regs book with me. The only complaint is that there isn't enough line on the spool to fill the spool on the reel even once.

This rod has a very bad spinning reel, it will look good but performance is very bad.15 dollar reels are better than this.Braided line that comes with it also average.
