Chef'n Freshforce Citrus Juicer (Lime), One Size (102-159-018)

This is a company that stands behind their products. The product is sturdy and does an excellent job. It extracts virtually every drop of juice. The first unit I received had a river fall out. It was beyond Amazon's 30-day return window. I contacted the company and had a response within an hour. They said they would send me another unit, and I received it within a week. I was not required to return the defective item. All I had to do was send them a photograph showing where the rivet had fallen out. They were so easy to work with. They care about their customers and their reputation. Any manufactured product can have a defect but when the company stands behind their product, you can buy with confidence. I would highly recommend this juicer. And I highly recommend this company. Bravo!

I am Italian and my boyfriend is Salvadorian, which means our kitchen is a central point in our home. Both of our cultures prepare food with a lot flavor, so we find ourselves finely chopping and squeezing produce on a daily basis. Because we enhance so many of our meals with lemon or lime juice we wanted to buy a hand held citrus juicer that could withstand daily use. The first one we bought broke after two weeks. We did some research and ordered the Chef'n FreshForce Citrus Juicer; two years later we are still happily squeezing all the lemons and limes we get our hands on!EffectivenessThe dual-gear design of this juicer increases the power when you squeeze the handles together. This feature is the main differences between this product and other hand held citrus juicers on the market. How I have experienced this is that I get more juice from the fruit while using less effort. When I take the juiced lemon out it has almost dry pulp left on the rind which indicates that all the juice has been squeezed from that lemon. Usually it would take a forceful grip to get that result with other hand held juicers.DurabilityEvery time I use our juicer it feels like it is brand new. There is no feeling or indication that it is losing its function or becoming less stable. I use this juicer for on average four meals a week, using 3 lemons or limes each meal; cut those citrus in half to juice them and once could calculate that I operate this juicer on average 24 times a week. That is roughly 96 times a month and 1,152 times in one year...holiday dishes not included! I have owned and used this juicer at this pace for two years and it is as effective and sturdy as the day FedEx placed it on my porch. In the event that I manage to break this product it comes with a lifetime warranty.MaterialsThe rounded handles, gears and juice filter are made of a hard plastic which the company states is BPA and melamine free. The screws and press are sturdy metal. The metal does increase the weight of the product, however it is still easily held and operated in one hand. Ours has gone through the dishwasher high temp wash and heat dry cycle with no damage, melting or morphing.CleaningAs mentioned above I have cleaned this juicer in a high temperature dishwasher and it has held its integrity. Most often I hand wash it because the product is easy to thoroughly clean. The gear opens to an angle that allows easy sponge access to all of the juicer's parts. Rinsing the juice, pulp and soap away is also made easy because of the open angle allowed by the gear. There are no pieces of this product that you can not fully see accept for where two stabilizing screws fix the press to the handles. I like that I can see all of the parts in case pulp is caught somewhere and needs to be rinsed away. Overall its design reduces the chance of bacterial breeding grounds.StorageThe juicer fits easily in our 3” high drawer. The bottom of the juice filter has two nodules which help prop the juicer upright and keep it from sliding all over or jamming the drawer.

This is definitely the best lemon/lime hand juicer available - way better than the bowls, points or the other fold over ones without the gears. These extract much more juice and are much easier to use.We replaced a 10+ year old version of this same juicer that the metal had started to discolor on after years and years of daily use and dishwasher abuse - and this new one seems extra heavy duty. Years ago - I thought the plastic gears would be the thing to fail first - but nope - the metal discolored before the gears had any issues! We also upgraded from the lime size to the lemon size - and it's great for both.

First off, this is an awesome juicer. I've used the "painted metal" ones forever and decided, when my most recent one got so warn/pitted that it needed replacing, to try this one. And I loved it. For a week. And then it broke. There are 2 pins where all of the stress/force is focused - and one of them just came apart. So I followed up with the manufacturer (Chef'n) and was super surprised, in a very good way, when they asked for a couple of pictures and then sent me a new one. And since it has been working great for the last 5 months, getting pretty much daily use, I felt I should write a review. While I don't write many 5 star reviews, in this case, I feel it is well earned.

I've had this for several years, it works great and as intended. It's a better design than any other I've seen because of the "dual gear" feature, puts more pressure on fruit to get more juice out (get more juice per each fruit). Its easy to clean and lemon sized version works equally well for limes. My only concern is plastic handle and gear may fail over time, I can feel it bend under pressure. All Stainless steel version would be perfect.

1 year ownership, used 2-3 times everyday. There are more detailed reviews out there, and you should read them if you need more information. This is the best product for what it’s designed for out there. I simply can’t think of any other way to make it better. The gear is genius, the cleanup is easy, and it doesn't seem like it’s going to fail anytime soon. I will only buy more of this specific brand for all replacement hand juicers.
