This is a great addition to the Suzuki repertoire. He loves playing it and putting drama into it. That was what I was after...getting him to FEEL excited about the music he is playing. I did change the dynamics to the last few measures, which were written with diminuendo, but the orchestral version and the piano version from Schirmer showed a crescendo. He loved showing the possible story behind the music...Peer Gynt tip toeing out of the mountain but ended up being chased by the gnomes and goblins. and thrown into the dungeons at the end. Practising this piece helped him improved his ability to control his dynamics, to play very sharp staccatos at rapid speeds and to play with enthusiasm! Review: Vintage sheet music published in the 90s. Kinda cool.

Vintage sheet music published in the 90s. Kinda cool.

The music is great. I love the 'Simply Classics' arrangements for my young piano students. My only complaint is that the music was slightly bent when it arrived. Perhaps had not been taken care of before shipping. I always try to get pristine music for my students' recital pieces.
