Concise review of current palliative practices
The only negative about this work is it will be outdated when a new edition hits the stands, soon I would expect. Palliative care continues to establish best practices. This handbook covers just about everything. I would say everyone (medical provider, nurses, social worker, mental health, chaplain, CNA's, etc.) should all have read this and either have a copy on their own shelves or in the facility library.

Very informative about palliative and hospice diagnoses
Very informative about issues relating to the chronic and terminal illnesses, signs and symptoms, as well as what to expect in the different stages of an illness, lab values and significance, and medications. I used this book to study for the Hospice and Palliative Nurse Certification exam.

I love it
it is nessesery to know for every one, who treat oncology and end-stage hart faile. В России нет подобной литературы. В подобном руководстве, где собрана вся эссенция одной из самых сложных категорий больных, есть все что нужно для меня, рекомендую.

Recommended to me: a great little book
I was looking for a small portable book to assist me in both my education and decision making in palliative care. This little book is a treasure. Easy to read, well organzied and portable.

Comprehensive
For the size of the book, comprehensive, well organized, thoughtful and thought provoking. A holistic approach. Simple symptom relief strategies and responses to palliative emergencies are also provided.

pocketbook only
I purchased this as reference and reading book. It is 7x4 inches and unless you want to have it in your pocket, don't bother, it is even smaller than a novel. I did not attempt to go through contents, as I intended to return it.
