The Region A/1 Version is Terrible and Incomplete
See my Red Gloves video here for reference. (apparently still being processed as of this review's approval) As said, this is a Region A/1 review. I also own the Region B/2 version, and the differences in quality are astounding. Long story put short, B is superior in every way, including coming with 3 cards of artwork that, as you’ll see in my video, were not included in the A version. Why didn’t I return it? Well, despite the insane price that you’d think would represent a sturdy, plastic holder or product consistency, this is still the only way to get a physical copy Wolfwalkers in Region A/1. That was a tough decision, as this sort of thing shouldn’t be encouraged by us collectors.First main issue is the awkward box design, which is a large, glossy square that will not fit in with your other blurays. The B version fits perfectly and also has a little gold in its satin finish for display quality. A/1 lacks this, and so its gloss comes off as more cartoonish, maybe even cheap-looking by comparison.Second -and by now everyone knows this- is the blurays popping out and sliding all over. I shouldkve listened to others, but again...wanted a copy of Wolfwalkers. What isn’t mentioned is the foam dots holding the blurays in are sticky! My blurays were actually out and stuck to them in two instances! Maybe that’s all that saved the discs from worse scratches (than the few they already had). After trying to put them back in, they fell right out, or trying to force them to stay warped or ruined the disc-holder stickies. Compare that to the solid, dark foam the B/2 version comes in, and you’d fume too. That one has a snug fit, and no discs were loose, and putting them back in resulted in a snug fit with no hassle. Why the difference in packaging quality based on region?Content on all discs thankfully played without issue, as I guess the scratches weren’t deep enough to damage playback. I feel I got lucky. The last issue I had was that this version, fresh out of the packaging, did not come with the three collector’s set cards it advertises. Again, I put up with it because I desperately wanted the Wolfwalkers bluray, and this terrible set was the only way to get it. Thankfully, its disc did not come loose.Region A1 Version Review: If you can, get a regionless bluray player, and buy the B/2 version. It’s finished in classy satin, gold-embossed with a subtle shine. The discs are boxed in a flimsy but pretty foldout design that looks lovely when back in the box, and the booklet is printed with sturdy, thick pages that sit in with the discs to keep the title binding from bending. That’s a bit odd, and I found out the book was crucial for that the hard way, but that’s my only gripe. It also comes with three beautifully printed postcards you can frame, as each is a work of art. The square poster is also included. Nothing is glossy and gaudy, and it’s lovely on a shelf. All disc content is the same.NEITHER of these box sets is worth the immense price of $70, as both still are cheaply built compared to other box sets for the same cost that have plastic, sturdy holders within the cardboard box. Yet at least the UK version looks classier and will fit on a bluray shelf!

Beautiful animation and special edition
Cartoon Saloon does lend itself to a special edition. Every piece of this edition is a masterpiece. All the films are a joy to watch, Wolfwalkers probably the best.

Sehr gute Sammlung vor allem Wolfwalkers
Hier gibt es drei großartige und wunderschöne Filme (Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea and Wolfwalkers) mit massiv Bonusmaterial auf Blu-ray.
