Good starter hard install
If the vehicle is 4wd you will have to have impact air tools to remove the front drive line on the nitro but starter is perfectly compatible and works well

FAULTY STARTER
GREAT STARTER..... if you want one that works 70% of the time... Spent hundreds of dollars and a year trying to fix an intermittent "no-start" problem on my 2008 Dodge Nitro. It was this new starter all along.... Spend more money and buy a starter at O'Reilly, NOT O'China.
