For the price, these are fair. Some of the smaller pieces would work for jewelry. Some of the larger ones are too heavy. They are not made of a thin durable metal, but are rather thick. For a pennant the weight would be ok, but for earnings the larger ones would be too heavy. I have seen large feathers stamped out of metal that are thin and lightweight but these are not. Plus some have designs only on one side and others are two sided. You can not make mirror images of a matched pair if you have to face them the same way, that is if they curve to one side which most do. Of the batch, only about 3 had a matching pair, so these wouldn't do for someone wanting to make earrings. Also a couple had oval shaped indentations intended for mounting a stone. But the oval is very small and narrow so it would be hard to find a stone to fit in. I used a drop of epoxy mixed with turquoise paint to appear like a stone. That worked well. You wouldn't want to leave the indentation empty because it would appear as if the piece lost it's stone. I use these for miniature dream catchers and other hanging ornaments, but for jewelry, I would not consider them the best quality except some of the smaller feathers. They appear to be made from different manufacturers because the style is varied ie., some have front and back designs, others are blank on the back. So I would recommend using these as accent pieces for crafts but not for finer pieces where you want consistency and finer materials.

The differing sizes and finishes work well for me. Using these in hand made cards and mixed smaller mixed media art work, so I want variety. If you want them for earrings it may not suit you..I believe there are a few duplicates, but if you want pairs you may want to order things differently or from a seller description that states the product is pairs for jewelry.
