If you leave this on a wood night table will the wood get ruined because of the material of the mat sitting on the wood?

The material of the mat will not damage wood from sitting on it. It is made out of silicone and designed to protect your table. Think of it as a coaster for your CPAP machine!

How do you wash cpap cover?

I did not get to that stage as I returned it immediately. I have the same machine as displayed in the picture but the picture does not show that this cover is about 3 times too large, adding to an even more cluttered look.
