Bodum 17oz Pour Over Coffee Maker, High-Heat Borosilicate Glass with Reusable Stainless Steel Filter and Cork Grip - Made in Portugal

Searching for a great cup of coffee has been a very long quest for me. I have been using the standard style electric drip coffee maker for over 50 years. I had gone though several of the under $100 dollar popular makers and the coffee was pretty much standard issue, regardless of all the comments and claims. I broke down and purchased a very nice French Press, as I had coffee from these and was very pleased. When it came - I then began the research of "all of the work" required to get the press coffee just right - bottom line - "No Way" I do not have this type of time in the morning just to get a decent cup of coffee ! Enter this fantastic and simple product! Yes, it requires a little more work than just pressing the button on standard coffee-maker - but the little extra work is very well worth the effort! The supplied micro-mesh stainless reusable filter is beautiful, but I add a non-bleached cone filter - I like finely ground fresh coffee. Using an electric kettle, it is both easy and rewarding to irrigate the grounds and see what your doing - no way an electric automatic coffee-maker can do this. In a few minutes, I was stunned by just how great my regular coffee grind tasted. The build quality is excellent and I very highly recommend this coffee maker.

After 5 years and 4 broken single cup coffee makers (you know the ones-K), I decided to go with a pour over. Needless to say, this is the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had!!! I only drink 1-2 cups a day so this one is the perfect size for me and making the coffee this way is just so enjoyable! I’ve only used it once, so if I have any issues, I will update, but for now I’m so impressed! Coffee tastes great and it works quicker than my previous machine. Easy clean up and looks so nice on my coffee station. I figured I would have one cup hot and maybe pour the rest over ice for my second cup. Best of both worlds! The pot washed nicely in the dishwasher. Love, love, love!!!!! If you’re on the fence like I was, it’s an affordable and delicious alternative.

Very nice. Bought for my Dad after I accidentally broke his last one (not easy, but a glass jar fell right onto it from the top shelf of a cabinet above it and that will do it!) My Dad used to roast, flavor and grind his own coffee as a small business and our family is spoiled and definitely coffee snobs, but pour over is a favorite here and this does the job credibly. The only thing, as per my Dad's semi-professional opinion, he has never used the mesh filter that this comes with, as it doesn't let the water sit in with the grounds for very long, so it doesn't "steep" quite as long as it should and ends up with weaker coffee. He still will use paper filters. Much better flavor! Hope this helps!

It is a nice little coffee maker that works well for one person - I'd bump up to a larger one if regularly brewing coffee for more than one, though. The stainless steel filter lets too much sediment through for my taste, but using a paper filter with it makes a good cup of coffee. Very easy to clean. The glass is quite nice but feels extremely light weight and delicate. Even with it being borosilicate glass, I preheat it with hot tap water while the kettle is heating up and put it on a cork trivet or wooden cutting board to minimize temperature shock that might occur with a cold countertop. It won't replace my regular coffee maker, but it will be perfect for taking on road trips and as a backup brewer.

Perfect pour over kit. Comes with a small scoop for grounds. A cork protector to keep your hands cool when pouring from the hot glass of coffee, an adjustable cord to keep the cork in place and for aesthetics, and a reusable metal filter. It was so easy to set up! It’s a durable kit. Just be careful and handle the glass with caution. The taste of the coffee is amazing! Especially when I grind the coffee beans myself. It’s fairly easy to clean! Either on the top rack of the dishwasher, or with a long bottle brush to get into the glass carafe. All items in the kit can run through your dishwasher for sanitizing, besides the cork and the adjustable cord. The filter, carafe, and scoop can all go in it. Love this kit! I also got an electric kettle to make my coffee faster in the morning. It heats up in about 3 mins! I switched to pour over after getting rid of multiple keurigs I’ve had over the years. I feel like pour over is much cleaner and fresher than a keurig! Happy with my purchase!!

I had the cork Bodum before we moved and I always loved it. My bf had a Chemex. I prefer the Bodum. They both do the same thing at very different price points. I got the silicone ring this time. I prefer the look of the cork but the silicone is just more convenient. The filter is great. Love that there is a little topper included for when you take the filter off to drink your coffee. I always recommend these to people. Don't pay high prices when this functions and performs the same and is adorable.

La cafetera es muy bonita, los materiales de calidad, resistentes... todo amante del café debería tener una de éstas para aquellos días en los que disponga de un poco más de tiempo para preparar una o varias tazas de café (ojo, tampoco es que tarde mucho en filtrar, sólo que pues hay que hervir el agua antes). El corcho que rodea del cuello de la jarra se retira para lavarla, es muy fácil por el cordón de cuero y el botoncito que lo ajusta. Lo que sí es que es necesario un escobillón para limpiar bien la jarra por dentro ya que el café la deja aceitosa (de preferencia no debe lavarse con jabón, sólo con agua), el filtro es relativamente rápido y efectivo.

It works fine even without a disposable filter. The coffe tastes good and it look very pretty. It is a bit bigger than what I expected (1l) but it is still easy to store. Since this was the first time I used this kind of tool I found the instructions scarce but it is pretty easy to find tutorials online.

L'estetica di questa "macchinetta del caffè" è meravigliosa ed è quello che più mi ha spinto a prenderla. Oltre ad un prezzo decisamente accettabile ed il paio di accessori di cui è dotata. Arriva corredata di copertura in sughero, filtro da appoggiare sopra riutilizzabile, dosatore per il caffè, tappo. Il sugero è resistente ed una volta versata l'acqua protegge le mani dalle scottature, è chiaramente sfilabile in modo da poter inserire la boccia di vetro il lavastoviglie: si slaccia il filo e si sfila per poi rimetterlo una volta che il vetro è asciutto. il filtro riutilizzabile può essere tenuto sia con che senza filtri di carta ma la pulizia è veramente facile e veloce che abbiamo deciso di no comprare i filtri in carta (rispetto ad orziere od altre metodologie di caffè), viene riempito e svuotato in un attimo. Abbiamo questa dimensione ridotta in quanto beviamo poco caffè ma devo dire che è veramente veloce come preparazione ed anche come pulizia. il Vetro non è spessissimo come sono abituata per altre tazze contenitore ma devo dire che è ben formata e per il momento (due settimane) stà reggendo parecchio bene. E' decisamente molto elegante e di bell'aspetto anche da lasciare a vista sul bancone sia vuota che piena, fà veramente la sua figura.

Top, une fois supprimé le liège qui n’apporte rien pour moi ( visuellement cheap ). Cette petite carafe de 500 ml est très jolie, proportion différente des Chemex et autres clones, il y a une signature BODUM ( rondouillarde ). J’ai eu la chance de recevoir un modèle avec filtre inox sans plastique façon infuseur thé, et les petits filtres Kalita Wave vont pile dessus, le rinçage du filtre permet un préchauffage de la carafe. Les Pour Over sont très réussis. La carafe tient au chaud sans risque sur les plaques induction Barista. ( Bec verseur pas aussi précis que HARIO V60 Range Server ou clones ).
