I had a cheese slice which I loved to use: practical and exactly the right design for the job. Unfortunately, the handle was made of plastic so, every year or so, it broke and I needed to replace it.Enter this metal-handled version. Very similar in design function to the plastic one, except made of metal. Which of course means it's far more sturdy.Simple, effective design and manufacture. What a treat!

This is easy to use and clean, the thickest cut is probably the most useful for sandwiches.

So instead of getting the cheapest one around i decided to spend a little bit more hoping it lasts longer.... I guess this way of thinking doesn't always work.It looks and feels nice along with a perfect weight, 1st use was great I thought i found the right one, however the 2nd time unfortunately the wired snapped on me, no all I have is a pole lol. Maybe I just had a dud I dunno :/Now i got to go out my way to order a replacement wire and hope that is simple to put on with the right tension.If I could I would get my money back to be honest but I do like the produce I am going to give it one more chance.

I bought this as a replacement for one exactly the same that I’ve had for years.
