A must have!
I recently got a large screw in the rear tire of my r1200rt BMW. It ruined the tire so I couldn't ride it to get one installed. The closest bike shop wanted $45.00 to mount the tire if I brought just the wheel in. What? Anyway, I have lots of experience changing motorcycle tires but I was afraid of cracking or marring the lightweight wheels. These worked out great, while changing the tire wasn't easy, these protected the rim from damage.

Not the best for stiff motorcycle tire changes
Traditionally I would use pieces of plastic salvaged from shampoo bottles etc., as rim protection when changing motorcycle tires. Those are thin and don't make tires any more difficult to pry off which is nice, but I have had several give way under leverage and fail to protect the rim. These make prying a more strenuous activity but they're thick plastic that does a great job of protecting the rim without wearing out. A thinner version would be very much appreciated though.

Didn't work for me
These look well made but it didn't work for my type of wheels. I have a ducati multistrada enduro and they didn't work.

Doesn't fit around the lip on my rear spoked honda wheel!
First off I figured they would be more flexible but their pretty hard material. They do feel but if you have much of a lip at all around your wheel it's just about impossible to put them on. They are a little bigger than I had hoped for cause if I could get them around the lip of my wheel the other end of the guard is pressed all up on the top side of the hub flange
