Heatwave SuperQuiet SQ225 Heat Pump 143,000 BTU, Heat only, Swimming Pool Heater

I live in Northern Westchester county NY. My heater extends my swimming season from May 15 to October 15. I had to buy a heat pump because my pool is inaccessible for propane delivery. It was expensive to run the electric wire to the heater and the unit itself is not inexpensive, but at worst electricity has never been Monroe than $150 per month. Unit has had no problems except some wires eaten by mice over 3 years of operation.

I've never had another pool heater before but this one looks nice -- just the actual display/control feels cheap and flimsy and often I have to really push on it for it to open at all. It does work though and keeps my swimming pool swimmable in Central Florida basically all year round if I want to pay extra in the winter -- which I might not be doing again! When it was about 50 degrees outside I was trying to warm my pool to about 100 -- and keep in mind I have a pretty large pool -- so this was a ridiculous thing I was trying to do, but it did still try! And it got warm enough to get in if I wanted to run it a lot.Eseasongear was easy to work with and delivery was much faster than I thought it would be!My heater is leaking less than a year after purchase but I've reached out to Eseasongear so hopefully they can help. I'll update this if they do to 5-stars in spite of the janky controls. It's an expensive piece of equipment to start to malfunction after less than a year!

After two years the control panel malfunctioned and I can’t get a new one due to being on back order. This is extremely disappointing. Before the control pain quit working, the heat pump worked very well and was very quiet. The control panel is flimsy
