I am giving it 5 stars because for the price it's well worth the investment. They are going to perform as good as any other single piston manual disc brakes. They were easy to install and look really good. They worked much better than my stock brakes as my stock brakes were worn out. The fit was good as well.

I had to replace my hydraulic brakes on my bike because the seals were blown, I Did not want the hassle of hydraulic systems again. I was honestly skeptical about these brakes due to the price, but they installed easily enough, although no instructions are included, I have had to readjust the cable tension a couple of times as the cables do stretch but that is to be expected. they stop me very quickly even on steep grades, and they are very easy to adjust. the brake levers are metal which I was not expecting. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone, just be prepared to spend a couple hours installing them and getting them properly adjusted.

I recently purchased this mechanical disc brake set and I’m fairly impressed overall. The Fit is true to size and easy to install, matching my bike substrates well. The noise level is relatively low once properly aligned, which keeps for a smoother ride without annoying squeaks. In terms of length, the hose and cables are long enough to fit my setup without excess slack, making routing neat and straightforward. Durability seems solid so far; the components feel sturdy, and I’m confident they’ll hold up under regular use. If I had to note one area for improvement, a bit more clarity in the mounting hardware would speed up installation. Overall, I’d give it 4 stars for good performance and solid value.

Acceptable build and quality. I showed mine to a bike mechanic at a bike show and he was extremely impressed with the price and quality.

I went to install the front brake on my Suntour fork that comes with post mounts, only to find out that the brakes only seem to support IS mounts, where the bolts come in from the sides. This is surprising and disappointing as post mounts are very prevalent on most fork shocks these days and are also becoming more popular for rear bake mounting as well. Bucklos should include a threadless spacer and longer bolts to give those with post mounting holes the option. Instead I have to buy an adapter and longer bolts in order to mount this to my front fork. Also, as is with most bike parts from China, there are absolutely no instructions at all. I know how to install them but not everyone has that knowledge and a short instruction manual would be a great addition to those who want to upgrade.

I had these brake calipers on a mountain bike for around 5 months and never had good stopping power. I ride down hills and have almost had to bail my mountain bike because the brakes don't stop fast enough. I bought 3 different types of brake pads and tried all 3 on these Zoom Calipers, but they only seem to have about half of normal stopping power. I feel fairly certain that my calipers were defective somehow when brand new, before installed. I tried every trick I know to make these Zoom Calipers more powerful, but ended up changing to a different brand all together. These brake calipers wasted my time and money. I have bought 2 sets from the other brand "Tobwolf" on Amazon and they work perfectly right out of the box.

Wanted to replace my front hydraulic Juicy 3's (on my Canondale w/headshok, pictured), which have been problematic over the years, with mechanical discs. I've never replaced/installed disc brakes before (other than learning how to bleed my hydraulics, which had the pistons seize up just several month later), nor ever ran cables for anything (braking nor shifting). I couldn't see a difference between the two calipers supplied (in the darkness of my garage at night), and couldn't get it to seat fully on the disc. The next day (outside in the light of day!), I saw that the two calipers were marked differently as to whether they were for front or rear use, based on rotor size. After swapping the caliper to the correct one, and watching a YouTube video on running brake cables, I quickly had it all working smoothly. Also, I just left my old 160mm rotors on, since they were in good shape. I'll swap out my rear hydraulic brakes with this rear mechanical one, which I'm holding onto, the next time they need servicing. Very impressive performance and machining for the price. Note that as others pointed out here - there are no instructions included, but it is not that difficult if you're a little mechanically inclined and willing to watch a couple YT videos. Also note that I use the bike more for cross country purposes, as opposed to extreme mountain biking.

Welded tabs on a couple of my scooters, and man do they work better than stocks. Im sure ill order another kit eventually. They brake reliably & smoothly, yet will even lock up if squeezed hard enough. At least at speeds under 30 mph as ive used em. Im sure theyll do great at higher speeds.
