I have never been someone who partook in outdoor swimming unless it was in the Caribbean in turquoise seas & 10,000 watts of sun rays beaming down on my back. Even after reading the first few pages of Outdoor Swimming London and taking in the vibrant imagery of the photographs, I had a lightbulb moment and realised that the actual joy of being in the open waters of London and surrounding area’s with the beautiful natural scenery made me realise that I should give this a go. It’s amazing what is available in your own backyard. Reading ‘Outdoor Swimming London,’ has opened my eyes.

This is a brilliant book, and such a great resource for planning day-trips with the kids without using the car. The photos are beautiful and the accompanying text has some great additional details about the locations, and also some lovely descriptions of the authors' swims, while the directions are clear and informative. We'll definitely be using Outdoor Swimming London lots over the next few years.

Tempted to embrace the world of swimming outside? This book is a must. So many swimming spots that I didn't know about and i thought I knew them all! Beautiful photography, great descriptions and the options to visit without a car a real bonus. Really looking forward to exploring these fantastic spots on the doorstep.

I love this book!! Never sure whether I enjoy swimming in outdoor lidos or lakes better, I love them all. So this is an amazing treasure box of a book! Thank you to John and Lola for alerting us outdoor swimming fanatics to an even greater myriad of swim spots than we ever knew, and all within easy reach of London. I cannot wait to explore new places and revisit older ones that I haven't been to for a while. Thank you!

Excellent guide with clear directions to swimming places within easy reach of London. The book is good quality with amazing photography. A great gift for any swimmer.
