Best purchase of the last decade
This is, by far and wide, my favorite purchase of the previous decade. And I mean that in terms of all purchases of any sort. I have had ongoing neck and shoulder pain for countless years and have frequently found myself trying to figure out better ways to sleep. I can never fall asleep on my back, and falling asleep on my stomach puts me into certain sleep paralysis. With that, of course, I am a true side sleeper. This pillow is like a cradle of divine comfort that I cannot even fully explain. The support in design is perfectly married with plush, tender filling. The curvature of the cut out provides the right amount of shoulder and neck space. It's malleable, yet firm. It's fluffy, yet sturdy. And here's the test of all tests for me: I am a lifelong night owl, always pushing to stay up, write, watch another episode, etcetera. This pillow? It is the very first item I've ever had that makes me crave an early bedtime. I can sleep! I can sleep?? It's still hard for me to believe it, but it's true. I am excited to go to bed because I can and do sleep well and through the night for the first time in my life. And even more, I wake rested and with no neck or shoulder pain. This pillow is a veritable miracle. I only wish they'd come out with a small travel version! Pro tip: order the soft original cutout pillowcase for it. It's a dream. Also, the cooling effect is lovely, though not my primary interest with this review.

Best pillow, underrated gem
I did a lot of research about this using my favorite AI app Claude. And I would say that I took a gamble on this pillow. What you need to know is that when it first arrives and you take it out of the packaging you will notice a strong odor. I am really sensitive to smells. So I put it outside and let it air out for two days. Which really removed a lot of the smell issues that I was having. I also then allowed it to be in the dryer on air dry for an hour. And because I am so sensitive to smells I decided to let it air out another day outside. That being said once the smell head evaporated which it did, because I am so sensitive to smells I cannot even wear perfume, I can’t handle the majority of cleaning products, I can’t handle scented body, hygiene, products, etc. like it’s bad so I really really made sure that it was freshened out after the smell went away which it does. I’m really happy with it. There is not much I can say other than I’ve purchased probably 50 different pillows this year on Amazon cheap ones expensive ones highest rate ones, etc. and this one really surprised me because I’ve never heard of it and frankly it’s kind of a game changer. Yes it’s expensive. However, for neck, pain and back pain I would say it’s solved about 40% of my pain it’s not very firm the cool thing about it is that it comes with the option to add or remove filling so you can adjust the thickness and firmness of it depending on your personal needs. I want to suggest this… Sleep on it before you add any more filling to it for a week if you need it firmer after a week then you can add more filling. The size is an odd size that has a curved lower half so I would say for somebody that’s looking to make their bed very aesthetically pleasing and/or balanced appearing. This is something I wouldn’t suggest. I actually use throw pillows to cover the curved end of it because I don’t like the way that looks. However, the way it is made is high-quality. And the fact that my husband actually likes it makes it worth a while because this guy doesn’t like anything.

I can't sleep without this pillow.
This review is for the King size, adjustable Eden pillow. I bought the original years ago and somehow lost it when I moved recently, so I bought the Eden to replace it. Years ago, these pillows were not adjustable but I loved it anyway and was truly upset when I discovered it was missing. I actually lost sleep over it. When I found out they're adjustable now, I about lost my mind over the possibilities. In fact, I love the adjustable, Eden version so much that I bought another one. So yeah, I have purchased this pillow 3 times and have not been happier with any other pillow. Bad news first. The odor. You should know that they claim the foam is packed "fresh." This means there WILL be an odor when you receive it because it hasn't had the opportunity to air out. You'll have to do that yourself. Maybe they'll find a way in the future to "pre-air" the foam they use. For now, just accept that it's WORTH THE WAIT and really not a big deal. Don't return your pillow just because of the odor. It WILL go away and you don't want to miss out on this fantastic pillow. They suggest letting it sit for 24 hours or throw it in the dryer. Neither of these methods are long enough, in my opinion, but please be patient. I have experience with 3 of these pillows now and tried different techniques. This is what works best for me: Upon arrival, I immediately remove the outer pillowcase and set aside. Over the course of 48 hours, I let it sit on the bed in my guest room with the ceiling fan on and I "fluff" it 3 or 4 times each day. (I will describe proper fluffing technique for shredded foam later) Then I throw it in the dryer on low for a full cycle. Then put the case back on and it's done! You'll never have to worry about that again and soon you won't even remember having to do it. Now that THAT'S out of the way... I love that these pillows are adjustable now. They really packed in the foam on the king size! I'm not kidding. There was so much foam in my pillows that they, frankly, were too heavy and way too firm for me. I've seen some negative reviews to the contrary. Maybe since then, they've increased the amount of foam they include (they should keep that up, if that's what happened). That's not how I like my pillows but some folks might be into that so I'm glad they put enough in there for those who need a lot of support. They do include 1/2 pound of extra foam in case you want a true, solid-as-a-rock feel. I do not. I'm a stomach and side sleeper, who likes more "squish" to my pillows, so I ended up removing so much foam from my 2 king size pillows that I have enough to make 2 standard sizes with the same squish factor. Not kidding. I went to the Coop website and purchased 2 standard liners and cases that I'm going to stuff with the excess foam and use on my guest bed. I anticipate some of my guests asking where I got the awesome pillows. :) As we all know, memory foam holds heat too well and some foams will kick you right out of bed because you just can't stand to be that hot anymore. I did experience heat retention in the "original" that I had for years. I flipped the pillow over to get the cool side. I assumed all memory foam was like that so I put up with it. I don't get that at all with the Eden version. I'm a hot sleeper but I haven't had any issue with the Eden at all. The Eden has the blue foam in it that's gel-infused. I don't use anything extra or fancy to keep them cool. The foam is in the provided liners and pillowcases and I cover those with normal, cotton pillowcases. I did see a couple reviews that claim their pillows went flat after a while. I'm confused by this. I had my first pillow for years and never experienced any change in texture. As with ANY shredded memory foam pillow, they need to be "fluffed" every now and then. In fact I fluff all of my pillows occasionally, regardless of the stuffing used (I have a variety of textures on my bed). But regardless, shredded memory foam pillows don't go flat. It's just not a thing. If you feel like it's flat, fluff it. Get rough with it. The shapes of the shreds can, over time, start to fit together like puzzle pieces and can become compact in some areas in the pillow. Maybe this is what creates the illusion that it's flat? "Fluffing" a shredded foam pillow involves breaking all the pieces up so they can move independently again. To achieve this, you have to grab several areas of the pillow with both hands so you have clumps of foam in your hands and then sort of jostle everything around in there, breaking up all the chunks. I usually grab and use the same motion I would use to bang cymbals together and then repeat all over the pillow until it feels like everything is separated again. I find this technique to be most effective when I grab around the edges. This takes only 5-8 seconds to accomplish and is completely normal maintenance for a shredded foam pillow. Final thought: Shredded memory foam pillows are not for everyone because comfort is subjective. We all sleep differently and have different needs. After reading through some of the negative reviews, I've determined that some of them HAD to have been left by people who have never used a shredded foam pillow before and have determined it's not for them. COOP has a generous 100 night, no questions asked refund policy, so it doesn't hurt to try it. I don't view those reviews as a poor reflection of this company's products, but rather that the consumer tried something once and decided shredded foam pillows are not for them. I do have some experience with shredded foam pillows and can tell you that the Eden is, hands down, the best and highest quality that I've found on the market.

great night sleep if a back and side sleeper
Absolutely wonderful except for one small problem so only 4 stars. The pillowcase for the Cool feature the case is so slippery that my husband had it fall of the back of the bed twice during the night ( we have no headboard ) and I found a similar problem as mine slid from side to side. I corrected the problem with percale pillowcases but the percale also wanted to slip off so I had to pin them shut at the opening. Then all was perfect and we absolutely love the crescent shape and the cool effect.

Love my new pillow!
I am a side sleeper with shoulder issues. Many years ago I looked for a pillow like this and could not find one. The pillows provided to support shoulders were made of memory foam. I tried several and found that they were too hard and made for hot sleeping. So I had made my own and took two pillows and merged them into one so that I could have a pillow with enough depth at the edge to support my shoulder and softness to cradle my head, it was still hot sleeping. I was in the market for a new pillow and started to search again. Glad I did. This pillow has a gusset big enough to support my shoulder. I needed additional fluffy firmness so I ordered more of the cool+ stuffing. The stuffing is fluffy and soft like bamboo silk sheets. It has made my sleeping much cooler. I love the fact the pillow has an interior zippered bag for the stuffing and another for the interior bag. You can add; remove or completely change the stuffing of the pillow and wash the exterior cover. This pillow will last longer than any others.

Content shifts inside of pillow, making neck support invonsistent.
A review incorporates information about the product and also the customer's reaction to the product. This is mostly the latter. I won't say this pillow is a bad product but I will say that it doesn't meet my needs as well as I'd hoped it would. My previous pillows contained a solid slab of memory foam contained in a gussetted enclosure. They were the right thickness for my side-sleeping position and had just the right amount of firmness. But, alas, they were quite old and it was time to replace them. These new pillows contain a mixture of shredded memory foam and batting of some sort, also in a gussetted enclosure. The shredded foam, unlike the solid block, shifts around. Consequently, the loft of the pillow varies throughout the night, so that the neck support it offers isn't consistent. That's a problem. If you're coming from a feather pillow, then you're accustomed to that sort of shifting, I guess. But for me, it's a change for the worse. I added the additional filler material that came with the pillow and that didn't help. I gather that some people like being able to configure the shape of their pillow for different sleep positions. That's not me. I sleep on both sides over the course of the night, but never on my back or stomach. So, the ideal loft dimension is a constant. But the weight of my head tends to push the pillow filling to the back edge, leaving my neck with too little support. So this design doesn't work all that well for me. I'll probably keep it because it seems well made (other than the shifting issue, which is more about design than construction) and it's comfortable when the right amount of material is supporting my neck. But it's not an optimal solution for me. It may or may not work better for you.

Well made and flexible to suit many types of sleepers
Pillows are such a subjective item so it's difficult to write a review. I won't tell you what to buy but I will talk about my experience with The Coop Eden. We've had several pillows around the house over the years and the most recent was a pretty soft latex pillow that we purchased several years back. I've personally had some unrelated neck issues so thought it was time to make an upgrade seeing how important sleep is and how detrimental a bad pillow can be. Background I am primarily a back and occasional side sleeper with 2 bulged disks in my neck. Seeing how difficult it is to actually test pillows (outside of ordering them during a trial and sending them back) I wanted one that was flexible enough to be usable by a range of sleeping types. I also wanted something with good construction, easy maintenance, a warranty behind it and a fill material that was moderately supportive. I also didn't want to spend $200 on a pillow. Review After way too much research, I ended up selecting the Coop Eden as my primary pillow and I have been pleased. Straight out of the box I liked the packaging and the way the material was written in a friendly tone with simple instructions. Those are the intangibles that help make a great product. I also liked how the material was easy to fluff from the package by just throwing in the dryer. The pillow had a lot of fill by default but came with more fill which is a bonus. I even like the shape and feel of it. It feels much more premium than other pillows I've had and the gusseting is a nice touch. As for the feel in bed, it's both soft and supportive, which is what I wanted. There was too much fill for me by default, so I removed some, but thankfully that is easy and that is one of the core highlights of this product. I am not completely sold on the cooling features, but some may notice it more than I. I feel that some of that gets negated by the pillow case. The final thing I'll mention is there is a slight smell that has dissipated over time. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it's there and almost nutty if I had to describe it. So far, a great pillow upgrade. Plusses + Great packaging and product literature. Like the style + Was easy to fluff + Easy to adjust fill (and comes with extra fill) + Gusseting adds both a functional and cosmetic touch (may be a negative if you prefer the sides of your pillows to taper more) + Price is high but lower than other premium competitors Minuses - Not completely sold on the cooling features of it (your mileage may vary) - Had a slight nutty smell when new. Not bad but present.

I can honestly say this is the best pillow I’ve ever had\! I’m a side sleeper who tosses and turns throughout the night, and finding a pillow that’s both soft and supportive has always been a challenge\. The Coop Scoop is absolutely wonderful\! The U\-shaped cutout is incredibly comfortable, and the pillow has that soft, luxurious, sink\-right\-in feeling I’ve always wanted without sacrificing support\. It feels like it was made just for me\. I’m so glad I chose this pillow\. It’s everything I was hoping for and more\. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase\. Highly recommend\!

Worth It!!!
I’ll start by saying I originally started with the nuzzle pillow back when they were a kickstarter company. This was at that time the greatest cooling pillow I’ve ever had. Over time the zipper gave up on me and I had to look at replacing. Sadly it was a struggle to try and replace because the newer versions of the Nuzzle did not work as good as the original. I then stumbled upon a review suggesting a great cooling pillow called the EdenCool+ and this was the pillow I was searching for!!!! It hit the cooling and support I needed. No neck pain and sleeping wonderfully cool. Highly recommended.

Not worth the hype or money
For the price point I expected a minor miracle! But no different to the one I bought for £30. The pullow will not stay in place as it is very shining and therefore slippery. I was very disappointed. I am Sending it back
