Unboxing and Product review for the toilet light. At first glance it seems kinda cheaply made. The hangar for the light is actually quite strong. I was surprised how much strength it took to manipulate the bendable arm to adjust it to my toilet bowl. Once it is installed it stays securely where you place it. The light/ motion sensor box hangs to the outside of the toilet bowl and at about 3 inches square by 1 inch thick, it is a little bulky for something that, like in my case, might have to sit where your legs usually go. But in spite of the size of the box it is not actually that intrusive. I hardly ever noticed that it was there and it was not at all uncomfortable. The light is quite bright and really lets you know that you need to clean your toilet, but once you have the cleaning handled it is quite pleasant. With the different color options you can even send messages to loved ones. Such as “you need to put the seat down from now on” by changing the color to red. Or yellow for “you got pee on the seat”. Green might mean “ I don’t feel good”. And etc. Coming up with your own color code could be quite a lot of fun for the whole family. The kids really like the light too. They will even turn the bathroom light off during the day just so they can use the toilet light. We have had to talk with them about not taking the device off the toilet for use as a flashlight for cleanliness reasons. An improvement for future models, have one mode of the light shine a “bulls eye or cross hairs” target on the water for aiming lessons for young, potty training boys, and for the amusement of bigger kids. Overall this toilet light is actually of decent quality. It shines brightly enough to be seen when blurry eyed in the night but not so much that it is intrusive to those still sleeping. It is definitely a product that i would not have given much thought to before having experienced one in action. It would make a great novelty gift or housewarming present for someone. It is colorful and fun enough for kids to appreciate and useful enough for adults to merit buying something that seems, at first, kind of dumb.

Had this great item for a month and it now stopped working. I really enjoyed it but a month? I thought it was going to last longer. Right not now the light faintly flickers or doesn't work at all. I wish I could return it.Update:The company sent me a replacement just few days later. Now that's customer service !! I am changing my review to five stars. Product works fine so far.

Fantastic product...until it stops working. Loved this toilet night light as I didn't have to even use the bathroom light at night, but like everyone else, this device eventually died. But I'm one of the lucky ones, as it lasted for nearly a year before the led light became so dim that it became essentially worthless. New batteries did nothing. It's too bad too, as the standout feature is the rigid, but bendable arm on this thing as you can mold it to the toilet edge and it stays in place. I'll try to find another with better quality controls.

I ordered this same product almost a year ago and it worked like a dream. Until it stopped working completely a week ago. I had no problem ordering a new one. For $8.99 and a year's worth of faultless lighting, no problem.However, when I got the new one, the light detection wasn't working. The only thing that seemed to work was the motion detector. That would turn the device light on, but when the bathroom lights came on, it stayed on. The other wasn't like that. This will burn that bulb out (which is what happened to the last one) pretty quickly! Not to mention that I don't need it to light up during the day and when the light in the bathroom is turned on.I requested a replacement, got it today, and it does the exact same thing.Also odd was that the original one actually had the brand Websun on the device. This one has no name.I will likely keep this for now (hard to live without it once you get used to it at night) but go with another company when this one tanks.

I bought this as a "toy" of sorts for my toilet. Hanging it over the edge of the bowl was not difficult but I can't say that it stays secure and won't fall off. The motion sensor doesn't activate the light until you are about 3' away. It casts a nice glow to the contents inside the bowl. The light remains on for at least 2 minutes after exiting the bathroom. This seems like a waste of battery since there is no one in the bathroom to see it! As far as securing it, I guess some adhesive tape might work. My wife didn't see the novelty in it and said it's got to go. I hung it on a small corner table we have so I can still "enjoy" the changing lights. If it could be mounted in a less conspicuous way and stay secured, I'd say it would be a winner. If you have kids, this may be ok entertainment to amuse them and be used as encouragement to use the toilet.

I bought one after viewing an upbeat TV ad. It worked perfectly, just as the ad said it would - sensitive motion detector, light is bright with a large range of colors, no need to turn on the bright bathroom light at 3:00am. Just hang it on the bowl and forget it. Decided to get 7 more for Xmas gifts for my older guy friends - pretty inexpensive gifts. They all have already opened and installed them and have had a blast. Contrary to some of the reviews I read, everyone of them has worked - perfectly. Only one consideration, my first 3 Eveready AAA's lasted only 2 months at my rate of night visits. It's a cute but actually helpful gadget to have.
