When the Scooby gang visits a dude ranch, they discover that it and the nearby town have been haunted by a ghostly cowboy, Dapper Dan, who fires real fire from his fire irons. The mystery only deepens when it’s discovered that the ghost is also the long lost relative of Shaggy Rogers! Review: Happy purchaser - We bought this for our little guy. It's his favorite Scooby-Doo movie. It arrived quickly. Review: Another fun mystery for the Scooby Gang - and lots of humor! - Get ready pardner for a rip-roarin' western ghost story. Shaggy's got a dark past in an outlaw that's now a ghost shootin' up the town with green glowing pistols that shoot green fire and set the town ablaze. Of course Shaggy and Scooby do a lot of eating, Daphne can't wait to check out the fashions, Velma has horse allergies and Freddy can't decide on which net to use. There's a lot of humor and western action in this one, but there's also a lot of heart. If you're a Scooby-Doo fan, there's no doubt you will enjoy the story and the antics of Scooby and the gang. I did find the animation in this to be a bit on the odd side, being more computer generated, but it's something I got used to as the movie went along. There are a whole lot of other people in this film and seeing Scooby and Shaggy with the horses is an interesting side of them we didn't know about. We also find out Velma is obsessed with anyone using the El KaBong font. So, sit back for almost 90 minutes of fun with the gang. You will not want to miss this mystery.

Good Scooby movie
I'm a big Scooby Fan who has pretty much all the movies from the 1990's to now plus Where Are You & What's New. I liked Shaggy's Showdown a lot & gave it a 4 star rating. The pros are that they focused back on the gang, I think everyone got pretty equal screen time (except Shaggy who is the star of this one) but not like the last 2 WWE movies which I didn't like too much. The cons were there were no songs or music during the chase scenes, I definitely missed that. Next they changed the actress that does Velma's voice (it used to be Mindy Cohn) and Kate Micucci's voice is so nasally it gave me a headache...I miss Mindy. Other than that it's a good movie, I'll watch it again but not over and over like some of the other classics I own.
